We were in the area and went to this place before as it was good place to have dinner. We arrived at about 7pm and sat at a table waiting for someone to come. About 15min later we were given menus to see what we wanted to eat. After 30min still no one came to take our order, very frustrating as the Restaurent was nearly empty. Finally the waiter came and my wife ordered soup, he stood there and just said no soup and walked off. We sat in amazement that he just walked off without a word or taking the rest of our order, we said to ourselves maybe he is coming back and wanted to check but nope he just went to another table and took their order and we just got up and left. Very sad service and never again. Very disappointed as the last time we went service was good and so was the food.

We went for the atmosphere and loved the food. The atmosphere is great! You feel like youâre dining in a cave - a clean, cool, and well appointed cave that is. We were a bit skeptical about Mexican food in Romania, but our choices were excellent. I had the burrito and my wife had the tacos. We both had soup as appetizers and couldnât finish our entrees. Luckily we have a refrigerator in the apartment weâre renting so we took the uneaten portions back with us. Two soups, two entrees, one wine, and a large bottle of water for about $US40, before tip. Weâre here for 3 days, so weâre going back again for traditional Romanian food. Highly recommend.

Small traditional restaurant serving mainly soups and stews, cooked fresh every day with local ingredients. Due to the small number of seats, we are unable to take reservations. Should there be no table available, waiting times are generally up to 15-20 m
A traditional, decent restaurant with a menu not very rich, but representative. At least, what we ate was very tasty. The restaurant is clean. Not all employees are very friendly. The prices are the usual ones.Thank you very much for your great review Stefan ! I look forward to seeing you back soon

The place is not top notch in point of cleanliness, but the food is relatively ok, and the prices are a bit lower than in the other places.

Our restaurant brings a new and fresh outlook on old traditional romanian cuisine, with a focus on Transyvanian recipes. With recipes spanning from the 1600s to present day, our chefs are recreating, daily, the most authentic romanian foods. The restauran
Strolling on Sub Tampa forresty alley and being hungry, we came across a wonderfully designed, inviting restaurant, too beautiful to be missed. Another surprise came when we noticed that they had live music (a delicate midday atmosphere) and the food: a modern gourmet interpretation of the Transylvanian cuisine. For me, not acustomed to the heavy, mountain dishes from the area, it was a great discovery and the authentic yet modern take on Transylvan dishes is a rara avis in the Romanian restaurant scenery.

Traditional Romanian food, cooked slowly in a village outside the city and served fast in the Old Town Market. Due to the small number of seats, we are unable to take reservations. Should there be no table available, waiting times are generally up to 15-2
We had lunch here last year and loved it so much that we had to return this time around. Not only we returned but had lunch here 2 out of 3 days. The service is friendly and helpful even during the busiest hours, the food is always hot and tasty. Totally recommend the Gulas (Hungarian beef stew) , the White bean soup with smoked ham served in bread is also very tasty and the Pork Chop with onion jam is a great combo that you should try. On top of this, add the very convenient location and you have the recipe to a perfect lunch. Will return - good job Thank you very much for your kind words Maddy ! Iâm looking forward to seeing you again soon !

There is no better place to set a sheepfold than a meadow. And if the meadow is in Poiana Brasov, than the sheepfold cannot be but the touristic sheepfold, a place of feasts and pleasant halts, where Sergiana invites you in for a meal. Whenever you please
Located at the entrance to Poiana Brasov (far from public transport) in a fairy tale landscape.Romanian restaurant belonging to the group "Sergiana" recognized for its own meat dishes. The salon decorated in the style of oak, although in summer series many prefer the terrace.Dear guest,We kindly thank you for your appreciations. You are always welcome in our restaurants either for romanian traditional cuisine that we manage in Brasov, RâÈnov and Poiana BraÈov at Sergiana, Ceasuâ RÄu, Sub-Cetate(close to the Rasnov fortress), Stâna TuristicÄ(in Poiana BraÈov), or for international cuisine at Casa Tudor or Bistro&Pizza Nec's . Our experience at Coliba Haiducilor has been more than disappointing on all levels. First of all, as regards the level of service, we were shocked by the lack of minimum politeness displayed by the staff. As we were a couple and the staff is obviously focused on large groups, they simply left us waiting for almost 20 min, although there seemed to be plenty of tables available. When we were finally seated at a table, a waiter came and demanded that we moved to another salon because the respective salon was actually reserved for a very large groups of diplomats that required some privacy...just like in the good old communist days....as a Romanian, I felt ashamed and revolted by this type of unprofessional behavior. As regards food, the menu is all about grilled meat, steaks and sarmale. As a connaisseur of Romanian food, I must say that the food is not bad but not as tasty as it should be. You can tell it is prepared in a haste, without attention to details (for example, the vegetables in the so called traditional peasant rice are supposed to be fresh not freezed). As far as decoration and cleanliness are concerned, the place is decorated in a typical traditional style but a lot more attention is required to the level of cleanliness.

Located in the center of Poiana Brasov resort and surrounded by the beautiful fir tree forest, Restaurant Vanatorul is the best place where you can enjoy a lovely meal, try our unique venison game meat, our well known "papanasi" dessert and enjoy the fres
The service was perfect and the food was excellent! The place is very lovely, the garden with the beautiful terace where we had the dinner. Gorgeous location, overall! The waiting time was also short, taking in consideration the number of guests.Great variety of wines, also.
