Only went there for a drink but saw the food they served and it looked quite nice. Spacious restaurant and terrace. Nice view across the Schelde. I would not mind going there for lunch or dinner. The drinks were pricey so I expect the dishes to be a little pricey too because of the view, the location, ...

You will be received by a very friendly host. A lot of choice of the classical Italian dishes at very reasonable prices. Surprising tastes. Sufficient wine choice. Nice interior.

Went in for a hot chocolate and a desert. The house dessert 'Meringue Baroque' was explained to me as hard meringue with a dressing of fluid Meringue and a lot of fresh fruit. I received a big desert where the hard (bought?) meringues were overcovered with a lot of (bought?) sugarless whipped cream with chopped apple and chopped banana. It looked like a creation of a 3 year old and was really not tasteful.Maybe I picked the wrong desert.

After a 15km walk around Hingene on a more than warm autumn Sunday the promise of drinks in garden at d'Oude Poort looked promising. The beer menu is varied with a selection of local beers to boot. The service was brusque and businesslike, with a touch of irritation. Nevertheless we were not going to let this spoil our day.I had an Orval. Others in our party had a Boerineke, La Chouffe, an Bornem Trippel. After settling the bill, a 'reserved" sign was thrown on our table as if to quicken our departure. Pity about this apathetic attitude. The pub seems a nice enough place.

This restaurant was truly delightful. The atmosphere is warm and cozy. The food is fantastic, elegantly served and wonderfully flavourful. We enjoyed a table at the window overlooking a quiet flowing river. This is truly a hidden gem! Don't pass it by!

one star michelin at a reasonble price - I appreciated the market menu's and- really good idea- accompanied" by BOB formula "wines. Hence , you can still drink the wines at at half the glass enabling you to enjoy without the fear of drinking too much. The terrace with green surroundings is really lovely! Service was swift and friendly. Cheese of the dessert tray offered a really large selection to choose from. This was my third time here but I will surely come back again.

We are a small gastronomic "Biestro", with a sharp eye on real, tasty and quality products. A place to feel yourself at home.
Four of us had lunch at H-eat and loved every single one of our dishes! Four starters, main courses and desserts â everything was impeccable. While the dishes reflect an unpretentious bistro style, the quality of the ingredients and of the cooking elevates them to a superior eating experience. Interesting wine selection, and excellent wine service all throughout our meal. All of the waiting staff was as cordial as they were professional. From the open kitchen, the chef takes the time to greet guests as they arrive and leave the restaurant, which is a nice touch. Our visit was absolutely perfect, from beginning to end. With only 30 seats, make sure to reserve well ahead of time â definitely worth it!
