Welcome to In the Welsh Wind distillery. A working distillery on the West Wales coast, we are proud to be innovators and providers of bespoke, small batch premium spirits and gin tasting events. Join us for bespoke gin making experiences in our gin lab, and gin tasting opportunities. Our gin lab gin making experience offers you the opportunity to become the distiller and discover your own gin, guided by our expert team. Our unique experience allows you to choose your preferred balance of botanicals, operate one of our custom-made copper pot mini stills, and craft a bottle of your very own to label and take home. Our experiences are for a minimum of 2 people and a maximum of 16 (based on 2 people sharing an experience - and a still). Come to the distillery for a gin tasting - after your welcome gin and tonic, you'll have the opportunity to explore 3 of our craft gins, learn about their flavour profiles and decide which you prefer before enjoying another gin and tonic!
We saw this place from the main road ( used to be a dreadful looking pub) and we were pleasantly surprised. We were greeted at the door by a very informative lady - we could not got in to the whole building due to COVID restrictions but she explained about the gins they distill there. We ended up buying a bottle. Would go next time for the full gin tasting experience

Visit Wales’s Cygnet Gin Distillery in Swansea. See how Cygnet is distilled on site, through the unique and fascinating distillation process, using 12 different botanicals. Meet the distillers & see how the gin is created right in front of your very eyes from mixing the botanicals to it being bottled in the bottling room where it's then shipped all over the world... PLUS, get a taste of Cygnet too!
We took the distillery tour and then did a tasting, followed by a delicious meal. Doug was a great guide and even though they were incredibly busy preparing shipments for Christmas, he took the time to explain everything to us in detail. The tasting was fantastic; it was so interesting to see how different tonics and garnishes changed the character of the drink. The tour was topped off with a great lunch at the restaurant and a perfect serve G&T. I highly recommend this Masterclass, and of course buying a bottle of Cygnet gin to take away with you!

Penderyn produces award-winning single malt whiskies and spirits at their distillery in the foothills of the Brecon Beacons. Distilling started in 1999, and the first bottle was produced in 2004 in the presence of Prince Charles. Since then the distillery has gone from strength to strength and now exports the world over. Penderyn whiskies are spirits are also available across the UK in supermarkets, premium liquor stores, and online. We have an award-winning Visitor Centre and Shop and offer one hour tours or 2.5 hour masterclasses. Tour are available 7 days a week and cost £9.00 for adults. Masterclasses are held over the weekends and cost £45.
Really great tour, with lots of history behind the distillery and how the unique spirits are created. Also the option to taste at the end, or take a mini sample home with you. Reasonably priced gift shop as well. Would really recommend a visit!

We went on a dark wet afternoon to visit Aber falls for a tour. We where shown around by Ruth who explained the whole process of whisky and gin distilling. We cannot wait for 2021 to get a taste of their first whisky after three years and one day of aging in their casks. We saw how the botanicals where mixed for gin production and went on to the visitor centre for a lovely tasting session with Ruth explaining what to pair with your gin choice and how to get the best out of your gin or liquer The new visitor centre looks very impressive and with a cafe and roof top bar area it’s going to be a very pleasant experience to just pop over for a drink and a nice meal. Well done Aber Distillery- keep up the great work

Da Mhile (pronounced da-vee-lay) is the UK's first organic micro-distillery and the producer of the first organic whisky in the world. We have been producing high-quality artisanal spirits on our organic farm in West Wales since 2012. Our first product 'ORANGE 33' is an organic orange liqueur that won a True Taste Award for its very first batch! Our second product, Da Mhile Botanical Gin is highly regarded by gin aficionados and is made with 20 botanicals. We also make a salty, unique seaweed gin using locally-sourced seaweed. Vodka, whisky, rum and brandy are all in the pipeline. Distillery tours and tasting sessions are available by prior arrangement.
Tucked away quite a way down an attractive lane you come across an old farm which is home to a fascinating whisky distillery and cheese makers. Everyone was very friendly, informative and knew their products well. Compared to distilleries in places like Islay this is tiny (one very small distilling room) but their story and how the gin and whisky is producted was no less interesting. There were plenty of gin samples to taste but few whisky ones as production is currently quite limited and in its infancy - all of which were very interesting. The whisky and gin may not have been cheap to buy but this is a specialist distillery and prices seemed fair to us. The Dutch lady who talked to us about the cheese was again really informative, amusing and interesting and there was a good range of welsh cheeses to taste - from very mild to extremely strong. We bought some cheese to take to friends later that day who also really enjoyed the 3 varieties that we had bought. It was great to visit something that was small scale and owned and run by people who were passionate about what they were creating.
