Whilst some restaurants in Europe can be a little conservative and stodgy, we were really impressed with this one. Fine dining but in a really modern setting with fabulour view over the lake. The waiters were friendly, attentive but not intrusive. The menu had a good range and the food was exciting and well plated on delivery - indeed the presentation of a number of items was exciting when it arrived. All the little things from tablecloths, glassware, crockery smacked of a sharply run venue - more than just a 'hotel restaurant'. The prices were not cheap but not unreasonable compared to other restaurants in the Lucerne region. We had a group of six and were well taken care of. The place was almost full on a Wednesday night, ranging from romantic couples to fours and sixes. If you want good food, excellent service in a modern setting, you would not go wrong here.

The place is new, sleek and with a premium view of the lake. free WiFi and car parking just 50 metres away. We had a tea and a latte costs us 10 Sw Fr. We are spoiled.

I've been to Pluspunkt a couple of times and always enjoyed myself! Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and the food is always great. They use mainly products and ingredients from closeby farms and producers. Lots of local specialities!

We had the tasting menu for lunch. The view on the Vierwaldstättersee could not be better. The service was friendly and the food just great! The smoked trout on a salad tasted fresh and light, the mountain hay soup was very interesting, the tenderloin with mashed potatoes as a main course was of good size and super soft. The dessert was a frozen yoghurt with biscuit on a verbena gelee. The four course menu is priced at 65 CHF. Also the wine selection is good. This is a hidden pearl!To come to this restaurant you have to take the cable car from Emmetten.

Essen in Ausflugsrestaurants in den Schweizer Bergen ist ja so eine Sache. Typischerweise ein überteuerter Einheitsbrei aus Friteuse und Tiefkühltruhe. Aber es geht auch anders. Wie im Restaurant Eggberge welches unter neuer Leitung nicht nur vom Ambiente her sondern auch kulinarisch aufblüht. Eine kleine Karte mit fairen Preisen für frisch zubereitetes, schmackhaftes Essen, das auch dem Ambiente entsprechend optisch ansprechend serviert wird. Dann machen auch Klassiker wie Ãlplermakronen oder Rösti Spass. Auch die Hauptgänge an den Nebentischen wirkten alle appetitlich. Dazu ein freundlicher Service und zum Abschluss ein hausgemachtes Dessert von der Tagesempfehlung rundeten einen durchweg erfreulichen Besuch ab. Wir kommen wieder, weil Berggasthäuser dieser Art sind hier dünn gesät.

We were there on the Swiss national holiday and Altdorf was a big party. Stalls with eating and stands with goods all through the city center and according masses of people. Looking for a beverage, we found the beergarden of the Schutzenmatt, woderfully shadowed by an old chestnut. It was nice and silent, phantastic for sitting and talking.The interieur of the restaurant maybe is a little bit outdated, but the beergarden is a wonderful place at a warm, sunny day !Next time again...Dear ksg48thanks a lot for your lovely comment, we appreciate it a lot.Our Restaurant has a history for more than 100 years, and now we try to keep and add some more chapters to that long history.if you come next time, you will find some pictures on the wall showing that - the mighty chestnut tree is really skinny there. sincerely your Schuetzenmatt Team
