Home to nearly nine million and powering an economy that exceeds both Hong Kong's and Thailand's, Osaka packs quite a punch. The confident, stylish city is a shopping hub, with fabulous restaurants and nightlife. It's an ideal base for exploring the Kansai region; Kyoto's World Heritage Sites, Nara's temple and Koya-san's eerie graves are within 90 minutes by train. Top city attractions include the aquarium, Osaka Castle, Universal Studios Japan and the futuristic Floating Garden Observatory.

The entire complex station, including the redevelopment area of JR Osaka Station. Department stores''DAIMARU'',fashion buildings''LUCUA OSAKA'', cinema complex, the shops and restaurants.
If you get experience from Tokyo Station, this station is "fingers in the nose". Just leave your platform from JR Train to go to Metro platform. I suggest you to buy a day pass 900 yens per person. It includes metro, bus and some trams (not all. if you want to visit Sumiyoshi-Taisha Shrine, you need to pay extra ticket fee).

Lucua1100 is a large shopping mall that is centrally located at Umeda station. A good place to shop especially if you are taking the train out of Osaka for a day trip to nearby towns as you go through Umeda station. We teamed a half day trip to Kobe and a half day of shopping here and it was perfect.

The Namba area is Osaka's central hub for shopping, restaurants and leisure, and is exciting at any time of the day or night. The Takashimaya department store has stood proudly as a symbol of this bustling area for more than a century, offering the top quality brands and excellent customer service for which Japan is famous. Takashimaya welcomes international visitors, combining traditional Kansai regional hospitality with special services to enhance your shopping experience.
Visited Takashimaya in Osaka in November 2019. Along with Mitsukoshi, Takashimaya is known as the very high end department store in Japan. Went to the restaurant floors and dined at Tsuruya Japanese restaurant. They served Kaiseki type Japonessa food and it was great! Many other good restaurants to choose from.

Clothing, household goods, cosmetics, and a fine assortment of moderate to fine dining options make Abeno Harukas Kintetsu Honten a great destination for shopping and eating with easy train access.
