Lovely shop with very friendly owner who was happy to spend an hour talking to us about local life one Saturday afternoon. Very interesting to hear about the influx of Syrian refugees and the north/south divide with Oslo. There is a lovely range of local handicrafts at reasonable prices. At the side of the shop is the small nature reserve with a steep path up the mountain which is well worth taking for an excellent view from the loo and mountain hut at the top. You will need good crampons in the snow as it is pretty steep in places. You may well meet a local man who climbs this route every day in all weathers. It takes about half an hour to get to the top and a similar time coming down - which is when you will really need the crampons.
