Playa de las Americas, near Tenerife's southwestern tip, is a lively, upbeat resort built in the 1960s. Today it's crammed with British restaurants, bars and hotels and North European tourists. Its white sands attract hordes of sun worshippers, while nearby El Medano is famed for its windsurfing. Top attractions include sailing, golf and dinner theater shows, but it's the nightlife on Veronica's Strip that is the top draw for the crowds of young tourists who flock here to party around the clock.

During one day, we hiked in this beautiful national park, allowing us to greatly enjoy the strato-volcano of Teide-Pico Viejo which is the highest point in Spain (3,718 m). We were also impressed by the surroundings composed of lunar landscape of volcanic rocks, whose colors were in perpetual change; it was amazing to see the bright colours of volcanic rocks, contrasting sharply with the blue sky. There is no visit worth Tenerife without going through the Teide National Park. Declared World Heritage by UNESCO in 2007. We will discover together this wonder of nature by standing in extraordinary places enjoying the views and taking beautiful photographs. Thousands of years have been needed for the formation of the largest peak in Spain and the third highest volcano in the world in the Atlantic Ocean, there is none that exceeds it in proportion. Inactive since 1798 (Nose of Teide). It is the most emblematic monument of the Canary Islands and we are lucky to be able to visit it.
Inclusions: Typical Canarian lunch included in the price, Private transportation, Hiking poles, Pick-up and drop off at the hotel, holiday home, etc.

This was an awesome tour, wonderfully led by Mario and Eva. We were picked up at our hotel and then taken to visit a number of locations around the island. The trip was very varied and the information provided by our guides was excellent, detailed and always entertaining. We really learnt a lot about the island and had a most enjoyable day. Our main stop was at La Laguna, where we had a delicious lunch. I fully recommend this excursion and loved Mario and Eva's kindness and sense of humor
