We visited the zoo the other day, it has most animals you could think off, they seemed well kept for the most part, a zookeeper mark allowed us to get a once in a lifetime photo with a giraffe, and you could tell he cared deeply about the animals, thought it was a great day out. We did think the monkey enclosures could be bigger and were a little on the small side, again with the birds and the ostriches. But other than that, the majority of the animals seemed to have big time enclosures and plenty of space to roam. And they are all rescue animals from what I understood, so have deffo got a better quality of life. I wouldn’t eat there though we went to the cafe which had run out of hand sanitiser when we entered, so we informed the staff, but then when we left it still hadn’t been refilled which during corona times is quite irresponsible. But if you like going to the zoo, take your own lunch and hand sanitiser and you will have a good day out ????

Most of our trip will pass through the picturesque Troodos mountain range, famous for its magnificent green cedar forests and clean mountain air. There, at the foot of the mountains among vineyards, lies Omodos village, protected by UNESCO. We will walk through its narrow cobbled streets and visit Timios Stavros Monastery. We will continue our journey stopping at the winery, where you will have a chance to taste Commandaria and Zivania among other local wines. Kykkos monastery. One of the miraculous icons of the Virgin Mary, which is said to have been painted by St. Luke during her lifetime, is kept here. After that, you will have a chance to enjoy local food at a restaurant and do some shopping in the square in front of the monastery. On the way back to Paphos we will visit the Birthplace of APHRODITE where you will have the chance to swim – this is one of the most stunning places on the coast of Cyprus – we will have the opportunity to make sure of this ourselves.
Inclusions: Air-conditioned vehicle, wines for tasting

Cyprus is full of hidden treasures and you’ll explore some of the island’s rural highlights on this full day excursion into the Troodos Mountains. You’ll drive into the countryside – where most say the trip is worth it for the views alone – to Anogyra, Lampadistis Monastery and Kalopanayiotis with a few delights in between.
Inclusions: Lunch, Air-conditioned vehicle, Entrance fees, A glass of wine/water, Guide
Exclusions: Tips, Personal Expenses
The tour was private and very modified due to COVID. It really was more of a driver versus a tour, we got to see everything we wanted and our driver was very pleasant - but it was an unusual tour in these very unusual times.

One of the most popular trips to discover traditional Cyprus, the unspoiled beauty of Troodos Mountains and Nicosia town - the last divided city in the world! Wonder around the Old Town Centre (within the Venetial Walls) in Nicosia, or walk up to the barrier (also known as "Green Line") that divides Nicosia into two since the Turkish invation in 1974. Visit picturesque Kakopetria Village and Troodos Mountains, where the forest stretches as far as the eye can see. Last stop is the village of Omodhos and the Holy Cross monastery.
