I completed the RYA Level 2 Powerboat course at this centre. Booking in advance was easy and the team made the effort to find a date for the course which suited me. The course was run in a friendly and relaxed manner, but was still thorough, with excellent instruction from Dave. All precautions against covid were taken to ensure everyone's safety throughout. I definitely learned a lot and got a good feel from the place, I will be back for some more in the future!

We visited the zoo the other day, it has most animals you could think off, they seemed well kept for the most part, a zookeeper mark allowed us to get a once in a lifetime photo with a giraffe, and you could tell he cared deeply about the animals, thought it was a great day out. We did think the monkey enclosures could be bigger and were a little on the small side, again with the birds and the ostriches. But other than that, the majority of the animals seemed to have big time enclosures and plenty of space to roam. And they are all rescue animals from what I understood, so have deffo got a better quality of life. I wouldn’t eat there though we went to the cafe which had run out of hand sanitiser when we entered, so we informed the staff, but then when we left it still hadn’t been refilled which during corona times is quite irresponsible. But if you like going to the zoo, take your own lunch and hand sanitiser and you will have a good day out ????

We will visit the local winery and taste the real Cypriot wine. We go to a small shady garden, where there is a grotto with a romantic name - the Bath of Aphrodite. Another stop is the fishing village of Latchi, from whose port we will continue our journey by ship to the blue lagoon.

Fantastic day out, the tour guide was so informative and told us information about the history of the island and info on each stop in between so the drive to each destination was not boring. It did not stick exactly to the itinerary but we did not mind as it was all so interesting and we still visited places we would have missed if we did not do the tour. Highly recommend.

What can I say, day 2 with Ascot Tours, we are hooked on you. Harry, our driver, a true Cypriot, did an amazing tour. We 8 were strangers for the first 30 seconds, then ftiremds, and family til the end. We wanted to get our of the City into the cool mountains, walk amongst the local ancient villages. Harry's humor got us to the top of the mountains with great ease. As a world hiker who hates driving up steep climbs, I felt completely safe the entire time. Lunch was amazing, wine tasting even better! Thank you Astro Travel & Tours, Harry, for giving us memories of a life time. God bless, Judy and Jon
Our journey will begin with a visit to the mythical birthplace of Aphrodite – Petra tou Romiou. We will then continue our way to the Akamas Peninsula, where we will visit the Avakas Gorge – a natural wonder with limestone walls up to 30 meters tall. Here, we will stop for a walk deeper inside, to get breath-taking views of the natural beauty. After, we will drive off-road to the famous Lara Bay, known as the breeding ground of the Green Turtles of the Mediterranean. The Cyprus Government was one of the first in the Mediterranean, to protect the turtle population and beaches where they nest. Arriving at a beautiful botanical garden, we will visit the Baths of Aphrodite - a natural grotto, filled with spring water. There will be time to have lunch at a nearby Cypriot family restaurant with a spectacular sea view.
Inclusions: Guiding by 4X4
Exclusions: Tips,, Personal Expenses, Optional lunch – cost not included
The tour was private and very modified due to COVID. It really was more of a driver versus a tour, we got to see everything we wanted and our driver was very pleasant - but it was an unusual tour in these very unusual times.
