This tour offers us the ultimate view of the world’s deepest canyon, Vikos canyon. In our path, we’ll meet one of the clearest and coldest rivers of Europe, Voidomatis and well as some spots that provide us with a sublime view of the canyon. The silvery river’s waters, though cold, are surprisingly refreshing for swimming and ideal for rafting in the late spring and summer months..

Would highly recommend Epirus.Travel and this particular tour we went on. We booked this very late which was no bother to Giorgos ( George ) who advised us where and what to do from the start! Less than 10 hours later he was waiting for us at the port for our days adventure to begin! What a day it was! George went out of his way to give us more than we expected from the tour, giving us a complete full days tour of everything and more on the list! He is extremely knoweledgable, great fun to be with, very accommodating, easy going and immediatly made us feel at ease comfortable and relaxed in his hands as he took us on our adventure. Nothing was to much trouble and he ensured we had the best days travel! Sivota, Parga and of course the Acheron River are breathtaking - there was just so much to see, so much to explore from beautiful beaches, sea side coastal towns steeped in history and charm, ancient forests and olive plantations, ruins, fortresses, castles and not forgetting the mythical crysal clear waters of the Archeron springs! I enjoyed every second of the day and it really was the highlight to our weeks holiday in Greece. I would highly recommend doing any trip with George. You will be in the best hands. I look forward to going back to Greece and in particular the Epirus region and will 100% go through Epirus.Travel and do another adventure. I cant wait!

ZAGORI – A cluster of 46 stone villages, where local stone was transformed into wonderful buildings and streets. Built among the steep slopes of the limestone mountains and the deep river canyons surrounding them, harmoniously blending with them. We begin our daily guided tour from the picturesque valley of west Zagori, passing by Aristi, admiring the evolving landscape in the meantime. We stop at River Voidomatis, one of the cleanest rivers in Europe, where you can plunge into its icy cold water, should you wish to, and then climb to the villages of Papigo. We visit Ovires Rogovo, natural pools in a narrow canyon and then the village of Mikro Papigo. Then we get back to cross a 1,090 m. pass to get to central Zagori in order to have a magnificent view of the Vikos Canyon at its deepest (almost a kilometre). There we have a small snack with traditional pies (like spinach pies , seasonal fruits and local sweets and continue by visiting Dilofo, a village at the centre of Zagori.

It was amazing day just for 25 euros per person. Captain Spyros took us from Agios Gordios and drived us to Gouvia by his car telling nice stories about villages we passed. The boat was big and nice and Spyros was the best part of it. He was joking, singins, dancing, talking to everyone and making food. The food was very tasty, and free coffe, biscuits and free wine all the day. The three places we stopped were very nice especially this wild beahh near the lake.

6. One day private tour to Ioannina and Dodoni Sanctuary from Corfu

Pachis Travel

Ioannina is one of Northern Greece's most atmospheric cities. It is set on the western shore of the lovely Lake Pamvotis, and framed by the impressive mountain range that turns lilac at sunset. The walls of the old town (Kastro) enclose an atmospheric, tranquil old quarter, and the lakeside area is lined by opulent plane trees that let in dappled afternoon sunlight. Together with jutting minarets, the fantastic fortress and the unique appeal of the island ( To Nisi ), Ioannina makes a beautiful place to visit. Trip takes from 8 to 10 hours according to clients needs. Dodoni archaeological site is one of the most ancient of oracles in Greece. It was dedicated to Zeus. It’ not as well known as other archeological sites in Greece, but it’s a nice place to visit, especially to see one of the best preserved ancient Greek theaters. It was the oldest of the Greek oracles and ancient people traveled great distances in order to consult the priests who foretold the future.

7. Vergina tour from Corfu

Pachis Travel

A 13 hours trip  from Corfu starts at 07.30 to Vergina, a modern village, and following the discovery the site was identified as Aigai, the ancient capital of the Macedonian kings, together with its cemetery. Vergina is one of those finds which archaeologists dream about - a well preserved discovery, proven association with a famous historical person, and real treasure! A tumulus measuring about 110m wide by 13m high turned out to cover some tombs. Not just any old tombs, either. One of them was identified as that of Philip II of Macedon, the father of Alexander the Great. Another is thought to belong to Alexander IV, the son of Alexander the Great.

Inclusions: Bottled water, Driver, Hotel pickup and drop-off, Private tour, Transport by private vehicle

Exclusions: Lunch, Professional guide
