We were so.impressed. However, we then proceeded with the tour as planned and had a magnificent time !

It’s a great experience. The ambiance is very welcoming and charming. Amazing food and service. Staff are extremely polite and friendly and I just want to say that, in addition to awesome food, we had a delightful waiter, “Dhanushka”. He had just the right balance of friendliness and efficiency. He recognized that we wanted time to visit and made certain that we had everything we needed.
Enjoy a thrilling train ride through the misty hills, passing some wonderful tea plantations, tunnels and waterfalls to witness one of the colonial monasteries in Hill country. The pages of history reveal that the creator of this enthralling place is Sir Thomas Lister Villiers. What an experience!!, we arrived just as the elephants appeared from the jungle and watched 5 large groups go to the water. The Jeep driver got us into the perfect place for photographs, responding quickly when a female decided we'd got too close. So beautiful to watch the interaction of the family units as they got to the water.
