Can, getting to know the city, its architecture, history and traditions, be interesting and not boring at all? Well, difficult, specially if we talk about San Sebastian (Basque Country, Spain) so beautiful city, that just see it leaves breathless. When I came to live to San Sebastian in 2006 I was totally impressed by the beauty of this town, however I did not discovered the soul of the city until I experienced the unrivalled city tour with Ikusnahi this summer. We have been walking around the city with Ania, who explained everything in such amazing and interesting way, natural and very funny at the same time! She left space for open discussion for you to begin to discover for yourself, in an imperceptible way, that you know the city more deeply, understanding the local culture and people much better.

Going on a private tour of vineyards in Bordeaux seemed overwhelming. So signing up for this tour seemed a best was to do selected tours with an expert guide of the area. With Polina who was assigned to us for the day, she did excellent work in preparing for the tour by understanding our desires of a large wine area and putting a tight but exciting schedule for the day. She picked us up from the hotel and shared with us the details of the wine making knowledge and supplemented all day with visits in a constrained time schedule. We did visit the Margaux, Saint Julien and Pauillac appelations both for tasting as well as how the wine making has evolved with technology. Polina's knowledge of the industry, personalized approach and managing the events during the day really made it an outstanding day and memorable one. Would recommend her anytime to escort wine tours if you want to extract the most value of your time with a truly professional guide.
