We had a great trip to Machu Picchu booked with Cusco Unique Experience. It was a private tour, which I highly recommend for this important site. Karina and Brian worked with us to plan the perfect trip for us. They are flexible and will plan the trip that you want. Prior to the trip they sent the itinerary so we knew what we were going to do. We were met at the airport, even though out flight was very late, and driven to our hotel in the sacred valley that used to be a hacienda. Our guide for the sacred valley and Cusco was Rina, and we felt we saw and learned so much about the Incas. Our guide for Machu Picchu was Alex. He met with us the night before we were going to Machu to tell us what to bring, what not to bring, and what to expect. He met us at our hotel on Machu Picchu morning to walk to the bus with us. He explained so much about the Incas and Machu Pichu. He helped us with our photos and suggested good places to take photos. It was so great to have a private tour. We spent two more days touring with Rina ending in Cusco. We were offered one more activity to end our tour and we chose a cooking class. That was a riot because the chef spoke Spanish but the restaurant provided a someone to translate for us. The food was delicious. Our driver picked us up at 4:30AM for our vert early flight to Santiago, Chile. Overall, it was a wonderful trip. We loved Peru and we were totally satisfied with Cusco Unique Experience.

We enjoyed one of the most magical days of our two weeks in Peru after we employed Inka's Connection to take us to Kinsa Cocha, high (14,000 feet) mountain lakes near Pisac. Benjamin expertly drove us back and forth from our Cusco hotel. Rolando was our guide. He took us first to his home, where his wife and mother showered us with flower petals and gave us coca tea, intended to make our walking easier. As we walked, Rolando stopped often so that we could catch our breath and he could answer our many questions about life in this rather remote area. The hike is not hard, some little ups and downs, but the difficulty is that all of it is at 14,000 feet. At the end of our hike, we returned to his home, where we had an excellent hot lunch, met his youngest (5 month old) daughter and had the opportunity to purchase some of his wife's weaving. Very few tourists come to Kinsa Cocha, which preserves its traditional way of life. A very special day which we will always treasure. Thanks to Anzony Sanchez at Inka's Connection, who made it happen.

You will start your tour in Chinchero, which was one of the most important populations during the Inca empire. However, it was victim of the extirpation of idolatries, action that replaced the traditional deities by Catholic ones, in order to transform popular beliefs. Then visit Maras, an impressive complex of salt mining. They are large deposits of salt used for exchange for other products with other regions of the empire. On the other hand, the archaeological site of Moray consists of mysterious concentric circular terraces that for some investigators would be an agricultural research center. Free time for lunch and then visit Ollantaytambo, a typical example of urban planning of the Incas. The archaeological complex called fortress although it was a tambo, a resting and lodging place for long distance travellers. Finally visit the citadel of Pisac. The market has dozens of stalls displaying and selling goods crafted by residents of the area. After the visit return to your hotel.
Inclusions: Pickup and drop-off, Professional bilingual tour guide (Spanish and English)., Touristic transportation., Admission to Maras.
Exclusions: Gratuities, Personal expenses, Cusco Tourist ticket - BTC, Lunch.
Truly recommend this trip to everyone who is fed up with the modern consumption world. A magic spiritual place, very well organised tour from the very first minute, starts from picking up from your hotel, till last one. The guide who accompanied us - MARCO, was very helpful, incredibly knowledgeable and prepared to answer every single question we had, regarding not only Maccu Picchu but also about Peru history, traditions and culture. This add a lot of additional value to our trip. About the place and the feelings that it brought is difficult to write, they need to be experienced individually.

I loved my Machu Pichu travel and especially the tour agents who helped with my transport between places.I particularly liked their help with transport. My trip was a 3 day from usa and never did I miss any planned attraction. The hotel accommodation at machu pichu could have been better for the price value but I felt transport/tour agents justified it.

This trek was an amazing experience! Eduardo was an excellent tour guide and very knowledgeable about everything we encountered. He answered all our questions and even helped with interpreting at times. Our trek was the first week of January, which was also a peak time for COVID-19. Eduardo was diligent with Covid precautions each day of the trek. He made sure to remind us to wear our masks in small towns, sanitize our hands regularly and prompted us to use our face shields when needed. We felt very safe and well taken care of with Eduardo as our tour guide. The downhill biking was thrilling and relatively easy. The intermittent rain made the experience even better. The company bus/van follows everyone as they bike down the mountain. The rafting was initially scary, but a very fun experience. The company went over all the safety precautions and provided all the necessary gear. 5 minutes after being on the raft, your fear will subside, and you will love every minute of it! There is a FULL day of hiking on this trek. It’s not a simple nature walk either. I would say more than half of the hike is at an incline. If you aren’t an avid hiker, I would definitely train for this trek. The views are beautiful and the foliage is vibrant. You will be exhausted after this full day of hiking, but you will feel so proud that you did it! The zip-lining was so fun! A little bit of a hike to get to some of the spots, but well worth it once you are flying above a river and through the jungle. The food throughout the trek was delicious! You always had enough to eat and it was always fresh! I didn’t expect to be so pleased with the meals, but I can honestly say the food was a trek highlight! On the final day, Eduardo accompanied us to Machu Picchu and did a wonderful job at explaining its history and architecture. This trek was an adventure of a lifetime! Things to know: - The tour company can safely store your luggage. - Pack light, you will have to carry everything you need for the 4-day trek. We each carried a backpack. (If you are lucky, you may be able to have someone take your backpack to the next city on the hiking day. Be sure to ask your guide about this.) -The showers might be cold. -If you are scared of heights, this might not be the trek for you. - You NEED sunscreen and mosquito repellent. - Take a poncho if you are going during the rainy season. CHOOSE THIS TOUR COMPANY AND THIS TREK!!! YOU WILL LOVE IT!
