Visited this restaurant on a recent trip to Holbeak on a Saturday evening with a group of 14. The venue is a stunning setting and very welcoming. They cater for private functions as well. There was plenty of parking. The menu is varied and they offer a good selection of drinks. The food was served quickly and there was plenty of it, we didn't experience the dessert as we were all too full. The food was of excellent quality and fairly priced. We will definitely visit here again when we are in the area. This was my late Grandmothers favourite place to eat and I can see why. Great recommendation Farmor. xx

For almost 30 years, Jensens Boefhus has been the setting for both large and small gatherings. Every year, more than 4 million people visit our restaurants in Denmark, Sweden and Norway. At Jensens Boefhus we love traditions. To many families and friends,
There's a trend in my reviews. Most restaurants in Holbaek offer exceedingly poor taste and food value. This place has the most amazing view in town. And the food sucks. Plain and simple. And it's expensive for what you get. Should be called "Jensen's Nickle-and-Dime You to Death". Also their salad bar here is CRAZY noisy; they need to throw it overboard off their balcony into the sea.Hi Charles.Thank you for your review. I am sorry to hear that your experience in our restaurant didn't live up to usual standards. Naturally, this is not how it should be, when you visit us. If you send your review to [email protected] (add your contact details) and refer to this review, the restaurant manager will call you, so you can discuss your experience and find a suitable solution. Best regards, Kasper :-)

We have eaten here a few times and even used their takeout and fest-menu. Its been great allways! Great Danish food with that special something! It's great value for the money - simple and very tasty! Don't expect to eat at a fine restaurant with tablecloth and fine service, it's very simple!

Located next door to the prestigious Su-Ri seafood restaurant, this large former wharf building in bright red timber (spacious and newly renovated spotless interior) is home to a catering school and serves good food with a fully licensed bar. The food prices are reasonably low considering the quality and attractive location. Service can be a little slow because everything is done by staff in training but this is not unheard of in fully fledged restaurants either. The city beach is a ten minute walk away and parking is fairly plentiful and free.

Restaurant Korn, are telling that it's a family run restaurant, and just serve the best for you. Had made a visit to this restaurant in Holbæk, and it's not so fancy at all. They are selling a lot of products in the restaurant, so you can be in doubt about you are in a shop, or in a restaurant. Restaurant/Shop are not so big, but separated in two parts, but have only one toilet. They are based on selvservice, meaning that you are going to the disk and order you food, and it will be served for you. Problems to fine the menu card, as only a small card are placed at the table. Price are high, compared to quality and service

If you like Grampa, you'll love this place. Here you get old-fashioned sandwiches for 30x what they cost in the day, complete with ruined pool tables and smoke. LOTS of cigarette smoke. But it's one of the few honest places left, like life used to be in 1960. So you gotta love it. This is the real deal. They offer an oyster festival once a summer outside, great time.

I havent got anything else to compare this place to in Denmark, but the food was very tasty and with excellent portions. The restaurant has its own brewery, and the ales are all excellent. the staff were very friendly and professional, with the typical friendly laid back Danish mentality. I would recommend this place to anybody visiting Holbeak.

We had dinner here with friends recently. For some reason this is by many considered the high end restaurant in Holbaek. It makes many promises bout locally sourced food and traceability etc. However many of these promises and marketing statements proved wrong when we had our dinner here. We went straight for main courses, where the men had dry-aged Danish rib-eye. When we asked where the beed originated - all the female waitress could tell us was that it was from somewhere in Jutland. Not impressive! Our better halfs went for the smaller imported beef fillet. When asked - all the waitress could tell about this piece of meat and its origin was that it was not Danish. Well that leaves us with about 200 other possible origins of this steak. Not at all impressive in a place that is justifying its presence with traceability and locally sourced ingredients. As goes for the quality of the meat - the dry aged rib eye was i deed great. However the foreign steak was chewy and had sinew in it. Not at all a good steak. As goes for sides all the steak came with was french fries and bearnaise sauce. While these sides were both decent and ample in portion - there were no vegetables and nor was it possible to add this to the meal. Dessert and the Arla Uniqa cheeses were probably the best part of the meal. To add to this bland restaurant experience - when we left - we were not greeted by the waitress - who was busy talking to personal friends who apparently also happened to be dining in there that evening. Conclusion - if you are looking for finer and well made locally sourced food( and possibly even organic) - then go the extra mile and either drive to Dragsholm Castle out in the stunning countryside - or go to Snekken in Roskilde - where most is organic and sourced from very local farms...
