Most Argentinean wine is produced in the mountainous Cuyo region, and visiting oenophiles rave about their experiences here. Whether you take a packaged tour of vineyards or explore on your own (some TripAdvisor travelers recommend renting a bike!), you’re sure to come home with amazing memories… and probably a new favorite Malbec.

Astonishing place, just 1 hour from Mendoza city, if you can go by car is better because you can freely choose between stops and the distances are far for walking. On the other hand you can take a bus (AR$81 by ticket) and hop off on the second stop (the first one after Cacheuta). The Dam itself its a marvelous lake with blue waters and high mountains you can see the Aconcagua from certain places. It becomes the perfect activity for a whole day, pack some food, beverages and a speaker if you want, invite some friends over and enjoy. Just be cautious of the sun there is no shading. Some spots has kayak and other rental activities for the day.

Even without extremely good Weather we had a great time during Our 3 nights at the Los Reyunos UTC hotel. Fantastic sky/stars/moon explanation at night and canoeing, horseback riding during day time.

A must, definitely if you are in San Rafael or around. The trip itself is beautiful, nice panorama, amazing mountains and colors and finally the Dam!. It’s only 30 mins away from downtown San Rafael and definitely worth the trip. Bunch of agencies offer a wide variety of activities once you are there. Rafting and Canopy are probably the most popular ones!. Don’t miss Dique Valle Grande if you are in town or around, look at this pics...
