Things to do in Teplice
Metropol is one of Teplice's more modern venues to spend your time off.Besides the restaurant with a beer garden, the place is well-know for their indoor karting circuit and bowling alleys. The place itself doesn't appear to be very cosy when you first walk in, but after settling in it becomes OK. The uncosy feeling was enforced by the staff, who weren't too keen to smile at first. But at least one of the three girls seemed to enjoy her job after a while. Kudo's for that. The bowling area is nice and they serve drinks without having to order at the bar. Prices are very reasonable. The Go karts cost a few crowns, but the track is good for local standards and worth it. The food in the restaurant was rather good. What stood out most was a routine dish: the Greek salad. It was prepared with great cheese and olives. Plus, it came at a nice size (some 300g).The mushrooms filled with bacon and blue cheese are nice as well.'House Specials' are expensive for local standards, but the meat is good. All in all a great place for families, groups as well as solo eaters. Not really a place for romantic dinners, but that's quite obvious when going to a "Weekend afternoon place".One tip for the owners: keep the music volume down. Especially when the 'music' is a live broadcast from the radio.

I've been here a few times with friends. The food is ok but the staff really need to change their attitude. Last time we went we were greeted with 'what do you want?'. We sat down and we thrown menus and not asked if would like drinks. 30 seconds later the waiter came back and demanded to know what we wanted to eat and got angry because we hadn't decided yet.We stood up and left. Won't be going back.

Fresh Czech beer with great yumm snacks - highly recommend! Always friendly staff, the menu is in Czech, German, English and Russian languages. The terrace is located in the park - a beautiful park where in the warm season children can run, play, ride a bike, etc. In the cold season you can olso visit the main room of the restaurant, there is very cozy. :)

If you have chance to have a nice lunch in Teplice, I suggest you consider this place as a good one! Very interesting interier (non smoking) , good service and the most important - great cousine! Fish is recommended especially the one I've got (candat a houbove ragu) - really good one! Deserts were all great - apfel strudl and pancakes with raspberries! Enjoy!

I come quite often. The staff are nice, fast and efficient. Beer is quite good, as well as the food. The quality differs from time to time. If you are a vegetarian you do not have much to choose from. Fans of Czech cuisine will be satisfied. The location is great - parking is possible in the street, close to the center and also to parks and spa houses.

We visited the restaurant on the way through Teplice and chose the place according to the evaluation here. Unfortunately there was maybe new waitress that day and when I asked her if I can order pork tenderloin with mushroom sauce and chips she went to ask to the kitchen. After she brought me the pork tenderloin with spinach and butter (from the menu) and on the side I got the sauce(which was very tasty). Also my husband ask if they have non-alcoholic draft beer - she said just yes, we have Birell and brought him the non-alcoholic beer with taste of pomelo and grapefruit . Also even though people were sitting only outside 10people)and nobody sat in the service was very slow.

I called them two hours in advance to make a reservation for 4 people and when we came in we got realy the best table. The service was professional and kind, the tap bier ( non filtered 12° ) was great and the dinner too. I had the a big portion of very well prepared and tasty chicken wings, the others enjoyed their meals as well.I did not like to visit this restaurant because it used to be very fumous all the time thus unpleasant for a lunch or dinner even for the smokers but now it has turned to the non smoking place I ( we ) will love to come back to.

The place has a very interesting decor inside, all kinds of reproductins of music sheets and old pictures of Ludwig van Beethoven. The ceiling lights are creatively designed with musical notes. I agree with another review which says the coffee is good, not outstanding though. We had a glass of lovely Czech wine too. The prices are relatively low, especially for a citizen of Prague. We sat outside in the street - I'd recommend putting a few potted plants there. Actually the whole Lazenska ulicka seems kind of bare - some greenerey is badly needed in my opinion.

From the outside it looks rather pale, even the entrance does. But, once inside it feels and tastes like the church of Czech cuisine. If you like the taste of pure meat with some good local brewed beer you're in for a treat! This old brewery and it's interior is a hidden gem!Hello, thank you for your feedback that makes us happy. Hope to welcome you soon again.Have a good day.Andrea Carvanová
