Historic Suzdal is one of Russia’s oldest settlements, dating back to early the 11th century. It’s a serene and charming place, offering a latticework of unpaved paths that wind by churches with candy-colored domes, rustic wooden structures and cinematic meadows. Sip some local medovukha honey cider for a true taste of the region.

This company provides private tours and their suggested itineraries are flexible and can be modified if the client desires. Sergey was our planner for the tour. He was very responsive in our email exchanges and happy to make the modifications we requested to the suggested itinerary . He kept in touch promptly and provided all the information we needed for our visas and a detailed revised itinerary that went very smoothly. Overall, both my wife and I enjoyed the trip very much and were quite satisfied with the itinerary and arrangements. Both of the hotels (Mercure Arbat in Moscow and Majestic Boutique in St. Petersburg) were of very good quality, in good and convenient locations, with friendly, helpful staff who spoke English well. The included breakfasts were also quite good. The guides, Natalya in Moscow and Elena in St. Petersburg, were both very professional and knowledgeable about the descriptions and history of the places we visited. Overall I would not hesitate to recommend Rusmania for people looking to book travels to Russia in a non-group setting.

Maybe you don’t know that there is a great difference between Moscow, St. Petersburg, and all other Russia. It is not easy to understand life here in Moscow when you are stuck in the traffic jam on your way to the Kremlin with a coffee in your hand! Visiting Russian provinces is a great opportunity to explore the real Russia and to see the common life of its ordinary people. The best choice if you have only one day is visiting Vladimir and Suzdal towns. They are among the most visited sites within the the Golden Ring because of many picturesque white-stone medieval structures and architecture, along with later buildings from the 16th–20th centuries. Highlights • White-stone medieval architecture of 12th century • Museum of wooden architecture • Delicious local food (and drinks) • Very local life of the Russian countryside Soviet van is not available from 25 Sept to 3 Oct!
Inclusions: Bottled water, Snacks, Driver/guide, Hotel pickup and drop-off, Private tour, Fuel surcharge, Landing and facility fees
Exclusions: Food and drinks, Museum Fees

A fully customizable and budget-friendly tour of the Golden Ring. Visit the destinations of your choice and draw up your own itinerary. It can be just a day trip to Sergiev Posad, Rostov Veliky, Pereslavl-Zalessky or a multi-day journey to Vladimir and Suzdal, Yaroslavl and all the way to Kostroma. Or maybe you'd love to see one of the lesser touristy places like Yuriev-Polsky and Alexandrov, Kolomna or Borovsk? It's up to you! Just pick the desired option. Since I'm not a licensed travel guide, I will rather be your driver and travel companion during sightseeing providing all the necessary assistance whenever you need it. No boring history lectures or tight schedules, explore everything at your own pace! My car is a Subaru Outback in great condition, perfectly comfortable for 3 passengers but can accommodate 4 (with less comfort, obviously).
Inclusions: WiFi on board, Bottled water, snacks.

Nikolay organized an amazing three day trip for me. He was very flexible with helping me plan a trip that fit my needs and was even willing to pick me up from the airport. He was a very good driver and his car was comfortable. He knew a lot of information about all the places we visited and was a good travel companion in general for passing the long hours driving. He helped me to pick budget accommodations for our overnights. I really enjoyed my three days spent with him and learned a lot about the history of the golden ring. I enjoyed walking around the small towns and hearing stories. We visited Sergiev Posad, Pereslavl, Rostov, Yaroslavl, Suzdal and Vladimir as well as some smaller stops along the way. He was flexible with how much time we spent at each destination. Overall it was a great trip. I visited in winter but I hope to see some of the cities in summer and would definitely hope to travel with Nikolay again!

I had an excellent tour with Nikita. He met me in the lobby of my hotel and the tour began as soon as we left. Nikita is very knowledgeable and was able to give me the history of various buildings and neighborhoods as we walked around Moscow. He also gave me insights on life in present day Russia. The wonderful food started at a market where we tried Russian cheese and crepes. We then walked to a monastery and had pastry and tea. We stopped along the way so Nikita could tell me about the history of a building or place. The final stop involved delicious Siberian dumplings. My three-hour tour flew by. It was the perfect combination of food, history, and culture. It was also just the right amount of food for me. We finished at 6:00 pm and I didn’t need dinner that evening. Nikita followed-up afterwards with recommendations for shopping and restaurants during my remaining time in Moscow. I highly recommend this tour.
