Situated at the crossroads of several commercial routes, Constanta lies on the western coast of the Black Sea, 185 miles from the Bosphorus Strait. An ancient metropolis and Romania's largest sea port, Constanta traces its history some 2,500 years. Fine mansions and hotels were built in the 19th century when King Carol I decided to revive Constanta as a port and seaside resort. The third largest city in Romania, Constanta is now an important cultural and economic centre, worth exploring for its archaeological treasures and the atmosphere of the old town centre. Its historical monuments, ancient ruins, grand Casino, museums and shops, and proximity to beach resorts make it the focal point of Black Sea coast tourism.

Gabriel was our guide and drove us on the day seeing both Bran and Peles castles. He was on time collecting us from our hotel and drove us safely to the castles. On the way we stopped off at a lovely restaurant that he recommended for lunch. He was a great guide, there with us all the time to answer any questions we had and take photos of our group. Even though we were over our time schedule with Gabriel, he even took us to the town where the Black Church was, so that we could see it. We had a great day, thank you Gabriel.

We had a great time with our tour guide, Paul!! My boyfriend and I were vaccinated and decided to spend 4 days in Bucharest. We took this tour on a Sunday and due to the Covid season all the locations we visited were pretty clear. I was very appreciative that we didn't have to fight with crowds or long lines to enter the castles. This tour takes you to all the main castles/places in 12 hours. I chose this tour over the other ones offered on Tripadvisor since it gave us a good amount of time at each spot. I liked that we didn't feel rushed & got to really soak everything in. Yes, it seems long but I swear it goes by quick. Expect to walk a lot & definitely pack some easy to eat snacks. Also, don't forget like I did --- PACK COFFEE! The tour starts early and if you're not a morning person, coffee is a must. No more hesitating and just book it. Great price for a quality tour.

The city locals pride themselves with something to do any given evening, regardless the season. There is always someone to meet or see, a good restaurant or terrace to stop by, or simply take a relaxing stroll. All roads go to... not to the proverbial Rome in this case, but to the heart of Sibiu's Old Town, the Big Square.
Enjoy an epic day-trip from Bucharest and follow Romania’s old wine road, reopened to the public after several decades of "hibernation". Initially build by the Romans 2000 years ago, the road cuts straight through Dealu Mare's high hills, displaying beautifully restored manors with old cellars and endless vineyards. Along the way, you’ll visit a wine museum located inside an old Wallachian manor and enjoy 2 wine tasting sessions at two prestigious wineries. The quality of the wines combined with the knowledge of the local producers will help you understand why Romania is reclaiming its position as a top wine country, currently being the world's 13th producer. In vino veritas!

Did a great day trip to Peles Palace, Bran Castle and Brasov. Mihai explained everything very well, knew many amazing photos spots to get the best shots from, and did his best to make sure the trip was wonderful. He is a very interesting person to tour with and we had a lot of great conversations on the road. I’m looking forward to going back to Romania again. Will definitely book with Mihai whenever I do go back.
When you say Dobruja, you think of a mystical land, totally special. But Dobruja it is not only Romania, Dobruja is also in Bulgaria, across the border are places as beautiful as here. Danube delta is a marvellous piece of forgotten art. Although the area itself is not that touristic, the combination of birds, nature and villages are unparallel. Even though the area is amazing on itself, it was really our "bird specialist" tour guide (Marius) who completed our trip and made sure it was transformed to an adventure that we will never forget. I would highly recommend any nature loving person to visit Danube delta with Discoverdanubedelta (friendly, flexible and extremely skilled).
8 days, all iclusive, fantastic ride on Transfagarasan & Transalpina the most spectacular routes in Romania. In this type of adventure, we will discover the meaning of a simple life, the bond between man and nature. In Romania, the villages will steal your heart and your imagination. Our country is full of small villages where wrinkled old ladies sit out on their front benches to gossip in the evenings, where shepherds still tend sheep and cows, and where you are more likely to be woken up by a rooster rather than morning traffic.
Inclusions: Accommodation as per itinerary, Gratuities, National Park fees, Afternoon tea, Bottled water, Breakfast, Beverages, Food tasting, Light refreshments, Professional guide, Tour escort/host, Private tour, Dinner, Snacks, Coffee and/or Tea
Exclusions: Alcoholic drinks (available to purchase), Food and drinks, unless specified, Souvenir photos (available to purchase)
