Francesco did a tremendous job for us. He obviously knew his subject very well and delivered it using humour and candour. The only thing that was missing in our opinion was speakers because at times we were at the back and could not hear him...otherwise excellent...and we wish him the best with his Architectural studies Regards Soumi and Lydia Mitra

What lovely way to see this city which I have visited quite a few times but always on my own. Thank you Andrew for a really interesting morning!

Explore the back streets of the Northern Quarter, find film locations and street art and discover how ceramic art transformed the area into the city's coolest district. You can also cast a critical eye on things as you learn about issues facing the city from social justice to public spaces. The tour tracks the transformation of the Northern Quarter since the 1970s when it was in decline in the wake of our first American-style shopping mall, the Arndale Centre, opening. The area, the one with the highest density of protected buildings in the city, was cited by cultural icon Tony Wilson in the early 90s as being 'our Detroit' owing to a mass evacuation of businesses. Abandoned and ruined it was the public art that turned the area around from 1998 onwards. The tour discovers that original ceramic art trail and uses more modern street art in order to weave together the narrative. I donate 10% of profits to local causes. Sustainable, thoughtful and inclusive tourism since 2012.

It was my first trip to Lake Districts and I absolutely loved it. Gerry is very friendly, kind and knowledgeable person. He knows Lake District like the back of his hand. Although it wasn't the best weather to see the lakes but he made sure that we visit as much as we could. It's still wonderful no matter how the weather was like. I will definitely come back one day. Would rate it 6 stars if I can :)

The guide was very good, was on time, had abundance of information, amazing narration style combined with sound effects too. However, the trip was all transportation there wasnt enough time to appreciate anything, Hawkhead village was not necessary, also we signed up for something we didnt get which is Lancaster which kind of put me off.

My son (21) and daughter (28) went on the tour and absolutely loved it.Their tour guide, Roy, was a legend and they sang his praises. He was so informative and told them so much more then they expected. Not only did he have great musical knowledge, but he also added interesting info on Manchester and pointed out things and buildings of note as they went around. The tour included a visit to the Salford Lads Club and museum where they had quite a chat with the guys who ran it. Uber taxis and a complimentary pint were included in the price of the tour which was personalised by including info and stops associated with their favourite bands. Well worth the price and they said they would reccomend it to anyone interested in the Manchester Music scene. Well done Roy! Altough there doesnt seem to be response to the questions aaasked on Tripadvisor dont let this put you off. Once they had booked they were contacted directly to state details which would help create a tour just for them.
