Marysville Garden Cottages have eight cottages designed for couples looking for a relaxing retreat. Located in Marysville's main street, the cottages have a touch of old world charm while still integrating modern comforts and are within a short stroll to cafes and shops. Inside, the cottages vary slightly, but all have a relaxed country feel. Classic features included in some of the cottages are a claw foot bath, box window seat, timber flooring and stained-glass windows. Other indulgent features available are a luxury deep-soaking bath or double spa bath. Each cottage has a gas log fire, perfect for Marysville's chilly winter months. While these cottages generally cater for couples with a queen or king size bed, some can accommodate separate sleeping arrangements for one extra adult via a sofa bed or day bed. All have been designed using energy saving principles which add to your comfort and minimalise environmental impact. Each cottage has its own private veranda overlooking different aspects of the garden.
Lovely cottage. Close to the man street and dining I Options. Well resourced with special touches. It was raining and we enjoyed relaxing in this inviting environment. (Half the fun was finding the TV ?) highly recommended. Covid hit and the owners were so understanding.

Located in the heart of Melbourne's food and wine playground - the Yarra Valley - within an hour's drive of Melbourne is Yering Gorge Cottages. Overlooking The Eastern Golf Club and nestled into the hillside, alongside the Yarra River, and with stunning views of the surrounding Christmas Hills and Great Dividing Range, guests can relax on their wide balcony watching the kangaroos grazing, whilst enjoying a glass of local Yarra Valley wine. Featuring 13 self-contained, luxuriously appointed, one, two and four-bedroom cottages, guests can also enjoy a suite of outdoor experiences and recreational activities to complement their stay including golf, tennis, bush walking, mountain biking - all undertaken within the Club’s 120 acre Nature Reserve, home to Eastern Grey Kangaroos, Platypus, Echidna, Wombats and native bird life, providing guests with the rare opportunity to get up close and personal with some of Australia’s most iconic wildlife.
My husband and I decided to book a little getaway before the birth of our first child. We couldn't have picked a better place. This is one of the most relaxing and value for money places you'll experience. Your own detached cottage set in peaceful bushland, overlooking the Eastern Golf Course. The moment you get there you'll want to be out enjoying your balcony, with kangaroos mere metres away to greet you morning and evening. The fireplace is a real perk and we enjoyed the most delicious BBQ hamper breakfast, delivered to our door and cooked on our balcony in the morning. Every room is spacious and immaculate and we awoke to the most beautiful sunrise. Cant wait to stay there again.

Had a lovely time at Grampians View Cottages. We were very warmly welcomed by Jurek and Grevillea Cottage was well appointed - well stocked kitchen cookware and utensils, loads of wood and kindling for the Coonara, lovely hot shower and great wifi!. Kids enjoyed the basketball court and bicycles free for hire. Had a dad emu and his 5 teen-emus wander right past our front door. Five minute drive into Halls Gap and a lovely hotel right across the road for dinner. Look forward to staying here again on our next visit to the Gap.

Thank you so Much Jack! Beautiful property, so relaxing. You have a rustic Australian gem. We loved our stay and your hospitality was amazing. Feeding the birds and possums was very nice. You work so hard - it will be an even more beautiful spot in the coming years. I loved hearing about your plans for the place. Property was clean, warm and bed was comfy. Felt like we were in the bush. Fireplace was very clean and so warm. There are so many places to sit and relax take in all the frogs, birds and rustling of the trees. We left so relaxed. Thank you!

Extremely dissatisfied and request my money back and never got back any reply ! The place is totally out of maintenance, we found a couple cockroaches and we couldn’t use the hot tub at all! The room isn’t like is advertised and the surrounding area it looks like abandoned

Relax and unwind on 3 acres of natural bushland and gardens. Kiewa Country Cottages comprises seven fully self contained cottages. There is a guest outdoor swimming pool, BBQ and a pristine alpine stream runs through the property. Perfect location to further explore the area.
This was our second time here. All I can say is it was a magnificent place to holiday. It was so peaceful, and quiet (apart from the magnificent birds that live in the tree tops.) It was topped off by a creek running through the back garden. Great amenities for the kids and just a couple of mins drive from Mount Beauty. Jenny and Andy were awesome hosts, very friendly, caring and helpful. We will be back!

A cool and leafy park with great river access. Easy to travel with our dogs en route to NSW. Close to town but not too touristy. Bit of a problem with the room which was resolved in a friendly and kind way, very welcoming and responsive managers.

We have 5 one bedroom self-contained chalets and a 2 bedroom house on our property of 1.25 acres amongst beautiful gardens. The 2 bedroom house is a home away from home. Features spa room, overlooking the golf course and hills beyond, own BBQ and entertaining area The 1 bedroom Chalets feature a fully self-contained kitchen; lounge room with TV, DVD and DVDs; queen bedroom with ensuite; washing machine; tea and coffee provisions and chocolates on arrival. Our objective is for our guests to have a relaxing stay in quality accommodation that is clean and has quality fittings and bedding. We pride ourselves on using natural cleaning products and recycling to be in harmony with nature. We have abundant birdlife in the garden and plenty of waling trails and the rail trail crossing our driveway. We are set back off the road and border the Bright country golf course so the surrounds are very quiet and peaceful. The chalets are separately located on the property and guests feel that they're the only ones here.
I have read previous reviews and they are dated, maybe at the time of writing the chalets were good but now they are in my opinion very tired, The lady who looks after the property is struggling, from the moment we arrived she was under the pump. It is a big area and to be honest needs a great deal of work just to keep the gardens in trim. The Chalet we stayed in was small and not very comfortable . The kitchen area is adequate but on arrival we were told the dishwasher wasn't working. No big deal, but it is part of the package. However the sink in the bathroom was not fixed to the wall (it moved when you used it) and the shower doors were broken. The floor of the shower was my main concern, It was really slippery and if someone fell it would be difficult to extricate them. In addition if you wanted to dry your towels (two were provided) it was expected for you to dry them outside, good in summer, not so good for when we were there. We thought there might be a dryer on the premises but were provided instead with a a stand tp put up in the not so late main room overnight. There is no areas to put suitcases and we ended up stowing them alongside the very uncomfortable settee. If you wanted to sit out side and enjoy the view you were limited by the amount of time you could put up with the mozzies. Oh yes the provided citronella can was empty and the lady was unavailable. By the way the view was of the local road. To be honest I believe the owner is trying her best but she needs help.

The Boomerangs at Johanna on the Great Ocean Road are quintessentially Australian. Three award winning boomerang shaped cottages offer guests a truly memorable experience. Set within three acres of magical, landscaped gardens they provide guests with sensational, forest, valley and ocean views. Very quiet and very private. Midway on the Great Ocean Walk.
Wow, just Wow. It was absolutely gorgeous. Total privacy, supremely comfortable, with everything running like a dream. Our hosts were delightful and so accomodating if there was anything we needed but we didn't. The added touches of candles by the spa bath, plenty of outdoor chairs, a folder containing all the many things we could do in the surrounds were very much appreciated. Last but not least, their two beautiful well behaved dogs floating around having a ball were a sight to see. The quiet and tranquility provides the perfect opportunity for a city slicker to reset the button. Thank you Roz, Mark and doggos - see you again.
