Off Australia’s South Coast you’ll find the rugged and beautiful island of
Tasmania — a unique destination where you can see Tasmanian devils, walk
in the wilderness, take in stunning eco-cruises, taste artisanal cheeses and
even explore a controversial art museum. The best way to see it? Take the
back roads, but allow plenty of time: A short drive in any direction can lead to
wineries, distilleries, marine farms, convict settlements, pristine beaches,
fields of lavender and national parks…

Enjoying spectacular views of the Freycinet National Park over Great Oyster Bay, Swansea Beach Chalets are located on Jubilee Beach in the historic east coast township of Swansea in Tasmania. The chalets in Swansea have been sited to maximize the property's coastal location with some chalets offering uninterrupted water views and the property has direct access to a sheltered swimming beach. Swansea Beach Chalets has a variety of chalets catering for the touring couple or holiday family.
Great views from our unit which was directly on the hills above the water. Caravan Park type units with sufficient amenities for our stay. When the temperature dropped the unit was cold which suggested no insulation. The park was outside the town so needed a car to get groceries etc.

At the Bay of Fires Bush Retreat we offer relaxed, simple-yet-stylish communal accommodation – an enticing place to rest your head. The Retreat is only minutes’ drive from the stunning sights of the Bay of Fires and is the perfect base from which to explore this iconic area.
Never before have I stayed somewhere or done something that lived up to or beyond the expectations set by the website. I even told my husband when we drove up, "look it probably won't be as good as I've said, but i'm sure we will enjoy it" Well, from the very first moment, the tour of the site, the entire site, the glamping tent, bathrooms, kitchen, campfires, people, food, vibe, pick your own fruit n veg, breakfast.... every single thing was thought of and just perfect. I had always wanted to go glamping and this set the bar amazingly high. I've travelled the world and this is in my faves. I'll come back to tassie just for this again.

87 Acres of diverse wetlands and dry lands with an amazing range of bird life. Our two lovely cottages, and three Californian villas are all self contained with fantastic views from all. We have separate laundry facilities and free WiFi. Wander around the property for a nature walk or take the bike lane into town on one of our bicycles. Try your hand at fishing in Georges River or down on Georges Bay without even leaving the premises. Better still just kick back and relax on your deck with a drink or two and then wander over to our BBQ area cook dinner and relax around the fire pit. Our property has 3 klms of bay frontage and is bordered by Georges river.
After a long drive it wasn't a friendly welcome to be advised of the strict 2.00pm check in and how we should have read the multiple pages of information provided. Our bad. However after returning at 2.00pm we were very pleased to be shown our accommodation for the overnight stay in the newer units which were well furnished with a deck out the back and lovely large glass sliding windows. There were free laundry facilities on site. The township of St Helens is a very short drive and worth a look.

Our cottages are tastefully themed in old world charm... from England to Ireland to Scotland to Wales... from the glamorous world of French Boudoir to the mythical world of Camelot. We provide cosy and luxurious stays... with lovely wood fired ambiance for the evenings... and a hearty breakfast basket for the mornings.
Loved our stay. I think this place has the most info I've ever seen. Any questions you might have are all covered in the information brochure. The breakfast basket was amazing and so plentiful and the free washer and dryer just a welcome bonus. It's old creaky and quirky and we loved it.

Corinna is an historic town that is now a wilderness retreat nestled in the rainforest alongside the Pieman River. There is a range of accommodation at Corinna, including queen and family eco cabins, original miners cottages and camping. Facilities include a restaurant and bar. There is plenty to do with river cruises, hiking and kayaking to name a few popular activities.Corinna Wilderness Experience holds an advanced eco accreditation for the accommodation and river cruise.
My husband and I were disappointed with this accommodation because it did not live up to our expectations. Whilst the setting is idyllic and unique, the cabins were average and you had to walk to reception every time you needed drinking water. You couldn't even boil water. They had not had rain for quite some time and were using river water which cannot be used for human consumption. Whilst we understand this and appreciate that this was out of their hands, they could have provided bottled water for guests. You pay a fortune to stay here and get sub-standard facilities. We went on the 2 boat cruises and, whilst the longer of the two was ok, the shorter one of the two was very underwhelming. The restaurant served excellent meals but very expensive and consisted of fine dining food. I feel that they could have provided something more homely at a far lesser cost for those guests who wished to purchase something a little less expensive. The bed also needed replacing.

After camping around Tassie for 2 weeks I was instantly amazed by the warmth, character and beauty of the Gingerbread Cottages! There was a beautiful fire to keep me nice and warm, and beautiful treats and bread waiting for me upon my arrival! Very smooth check in and Amanda was lovely! Thank you Amanda and Danny!

at the beach, and not quite at the beach - Stanley. One two bedroom cottage situated at Godfreys Beach, and two, two bedroom cottages in the heart of the village, all within easy access to Stanley's many delights.
We stayed as a couple in No.5 Not@theBeach just recently in October. The cottages are well appointed and maintained, light and airy with plenty of natural light. Extremely clean, good bedding and amenities. This is a two bedroom cottage and while we only needed one bedroom the set-up is perfect for a small family or couples to share as the family, dine, kitchen area is very large and well planned. The bathroom is a good size and washing machine is always a plus. Communication with Sam for booking and check-in was simple. You are just a 5 minute walk into the town centre. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.

Paid my deposit and booked Cedar Cottage 9 months before visit. At that time Stefan verbally confirmed the final payment amount. I have only my notes of this conversation so couldn't really do much when he insisted he had never confirmed that price, and took an extra $280 off my credit card.
