Hostal Mi Castillo is a family-friendly hostel that loves its customers (and we serve a delicious breakfast for no charge!). We are a highly flexible accommodation, as things like check-in / check-out times are based on a case by case basis more than strict rules. Everything depending on availability. We offer rooms with A/C, private bathroom, comfortable beds. Shared amenities include a common kitchen, BBQ area, dining areas, hammocks, chairs, and friendly staff! Also, if you are interested in visiting Isla Iguana, we can help you on that :) you just need to ask!
I am so lucky to know this hostel. From day one Alicia (the owner) showed the place with a lovely hospitality and a service you won’t find everywhere! Me and the one I was sharing the room with had breakfast with local Panamanian atmosphere that just made everything perfect! I recommend this hostel to everyone who drop by for a stay near the town Mariabé. // Frederik from Denmark

Catalina’s Hideaway is an eco-aware beachfront space with great music, food and flow. Our luxurious casitas & treehouse are nestled on 2.5 acres of pristine coastline; where the jungle meets the ocean. We are on the way to the popular surf and dive town of Santa Catalina, but also hidden where travellers can immerse themselves in the undisturbed nature of Panama.
Must visit! I booked Catalina’s Hideaway for a women’s retreat — it was by far my favorite yet. Such a special place with stunning views, a perfect atmosphere and amazing people. The chefs are also extremely talented — every meal was delicious and they did a fantastic job with any food restrictions. Thank you for such a memorable & FUN experience. I am already counting down until we can do it again! xo

Set in the middle of the rainforest - you don't need an alarm clock as you are awakened by howler monkeys. Each day the guides will take you out to explore the local wildlife sites and the kitchen staff perform miracles from their galley type kitchen.

Tinamou cottage. Located 5 to 10 minutes by car from the Boquete center (now all asphalt road !). Three romantic cottages with all comfort amongst nature. Privately situated in the jungle on the 22 Acre Habbus de Kwie estate. Imagine waking up in the morning with an orchestra of birds. Starting your day with delicious breakfast on your own private porch overlooking the jungle...While sipping one of the fines coffee on the world. Every morning a different Boquete coffee to taste ! Specially bird watchers and the nature lovers are invited to stay. Hope to meet you soon Terry & Hans
Terry and Hans were exemplary hosts in every way!! They were also good company, good humored, and highly knowledgeable in so many different areas that enriched our experience in Boquete. At every turn they skillfully anticipated things that would assist us in getting the most out of our time spent in Boquete. Staying at Tinamou added value to the rest of our days in Boquete in ways that are hard to appreciate until you step back into your life and relive your time there. Of a special note to those who travel specifically for the joy of witnessing nature, in my case birds,Terry is a bird guide of a rare breed. She is passionate, extremely knowledgeable about habitat, habits, calls and songs, etc etc, skilled at using her knowledge and sharing it with you! And as if that was not enough, she was exceptional as a companion during our shared time birding. The accommodation itself was comfortable, "comforting", clean, inviting, peaceful, and all in the extreme. Coffee, fruit, and cakes were devine. This may or may not be an accommodation for the backpacker set or the jet set, but it was perfect for this set, what ever this set is. Well done Hans and Terry for creating an amazing life and sharing it with others.

We booked through booking.com and after the booking we were requested to pay 50% in advance by Western Union to confirm our booking. We were in contact by what's app and email contact about the transfer with Cocoblanco (Manuel) and got immediate reaction that our money was received. After that it became silent, and contact was not possible anymore (we requested to know the pick up time and location since we also paid for transport services but never received any answers). Email bounced back and what's app was never read by Cocoblanco organization. Now we had to cancel the booking because of personal reasons. We requested to get the money back (minus the cancellation fee). Again no contact is possible and booking.com does also not help or respond to our support request. Donot book through booking.com, we lost 660 USD (with 400 USD as cancellation fee)! We are wondering if this is a scam....

Our fully equipped apartments and cabins are located on Colon Island (main island of the archipelago of Bocas del Toro). All units are built over or next to the water and allow for beautiful, uncrowded views of the Caribbean Sea. A private Pier/Deck on the front side (west/sunset side) of the property is also available for guests to enjoy.
Very walkable to all the restaurants of Bocas Town, but away from the noise. Beautiful plants all around the property and close to a beach. The apartment itself was perfectly comfortable (especially once I actually turned on the a/c). Occasional noise from other neighbors, but nothing crazy. I loved hearing the gentle lapping of the water outside my bedroom window as I went to bed. My favorite part of my stay here was the pier, where I could relax in a hammock and read and watch the sunset. So serene, and such a beautiful view of other waterfront properties. Check-in was a breeze, and I appreciated the provision of fresh water.

We had the privilege of spending the first week of 2018 here! The weather was perfect. We took full advantage of the giant pool and spent most of our time lounging in the sun or frolicking in the water. The staff/owners are friendly and very accommodating and the gym alone is worth a return visit. It truly is the largest and best equipped facility that I've ever experienced at a resort. We hope to go back the same time next year!

Spent 2 nights here in December 2021. This accommodation is very, very basic – beds on the pure sand, no working shower & toilet. True Robinson Crusoe feeling! The family living there is very friendly but they do not speak any English or German. The food (fish of course) was excellent though. 2 nights surely enough, it takes around 4 hours to get here from Panama city: 3 hour drive, a really bad road, and 1 hour with a small fishing boat. Loved to watch the pelicans here. There are lots of coconuts here but it was not possible to get some for drinking. There is also no electricity. Bring a book. For the price paid was expecting at least a shower, toilet – a bit more comfort. The advantage here is you have no mass tourism. We visited some other island where many tourists go and it was full of trash! It takes less than 3 minutes to walk around the entire island.
