The crown jewels, Buckingham Palace, Camden Market…in London, history collides with art, fashion, food, and good British ale. A perfect day is different for everyone: culture aficionados shouldn't miss the Tate Modern and the Royal Opera House. If you love fashion, Oxford Street has shopping galore. For foodies, cream tea at Harrod’s or crispy fish from a proper chippy offers classic London flavor. Music and book buffs will love seeing Abbey Road and the Sherlock Holmes Museum (at 221B Baker Street, of course).

Reiko was a wonderful teacher, the atmosphere was very friendly and inviting, and the food was really delicious. My partner and I learnt so much and can't wait to try out our new skills at home for friends, and family. We would highly reccomend the course!

Cooking courses in East London, specialised in vegan Thai & Indonesian cuisine. Small groups of up to 5, totally hands-on. Everyone is welcome!
We had a private cooking lesson for my girlfriend and I to celebrate her birthday. We are both vegan and like eating Thai food but it is the one cuisine that we don't know how to cook at home. I was nervous about having a cooking lesson because I thought that my efforts would be judged and perhaps I would be too slow. Fran was quick to respond to emails and I chose the private lesson because it allowed my girlfriend to choose any 3 dishes rather than one of the specified set menus. Fran did explain that she'd have to see if there would be time to cook the selected dishes. My girlfriend chose a soup and 2 mains and Fran confirmed that there would be enough time to cook those in our session. We were taught how to balance the taste of our dishes and made a Tom Kha Het soup, Phad Thai and Massamam curry. The session was very relaxed and we were able to ask loads of questions about the ingredients and how to cook them. We've made all of these dishes at home and genuinely think that our food is now better than the food we were getting at Thai restaurants. The recipes have been tweaked to suit our personal tastes eg a few more beansprouts in the Pad Thai etc. The session was so good that we booked another lesson with Fran and so will be seeing her again in a couple of days to learn how to make Red Curry and other dishes.

Japanese Cooking: Classes, Lessons and Events - Yuki Gomi is a professionally trained chef and author of Sushi at Home, published by Penguin. She teaches Japanese cookery from her kitchen in London, giving the skills and techniques to students wanting to cook Japanese food at home. Yuki's seasonal schedule gives full Japanese cooking class details and includes: Sushi Making lessons, sushi classes, Japanese home cooking, Japanese street food and specialist workshops; such as Miso making.
Yuki's lets roll sushi class is a great way to spend a saturday. We were recommended to go by some friends. Attended as a family. Yuki is really fun and her class is informative. You get to make lots of different types of sushi and eat it there and or take some home. Really recommend this class if you like learning how to cook new things. Thank you Yuki for all the detailed information and tips on ingredients.

The Avenue Cookery School’s aim, as a family-run school, is to teach people of all ages and abilities an understanding of food. Moving away from cookbook dependency and to start treating recipes as sources of inspiration and guidance. We teach all of this during our fun, carefully structured classes & courses, while incorporating love, enthusiasm and a relaxed, fun atmosphere in our Wandsworth Town and City kitchens. Offering anything from short public (and sometimes boozy) classes to corporate events or private hens and kids parties – you name it, we do it! Check out our courses to see what tantalises your taste buds! “Possibly the most fun cookery school in London”
I went to a Sunday afternoon class to learn vegan baking. On arrival, we were given some freshly baked bread to snack on while we waited for everyone to get there. You can take your own drink which was great, there is a small supermarket just opposite if required. I am not vegan myself or even vegetarian so I was dubious as to how the bakes would taste given the lack of butter, eggs and milk. We started off with a little chat about how vegan baking worked so you could in theory adapt normal recipes to become vegan although, this might take a little trial and error to get things right. We then stood at our workstations and worked in pairs, all the ingredients were pre weighed out for us and equipment set out ready. We made chocolate brownies, choc chip cookies, carrot cake and banana and peanut cupcakes with frosting. I hated the peanut and banana cake. (due to my hatred of banana) but the head chef suggested an adaptation of the recipe using just the peanut butter that I expect I will love! The instructions were easy enough to follow and there were helpers running around the kitchen to bring us anything we needed, offer help and even clear up our mess (what luxury)! We were given a little instruction booklet with the recipes to take home, I have since made the brownies and the cookies which have turned out well. My friend and I definitely want to return to try out some other courses, she is vegan so we will likely try some of the other vegan courses eg pasta making. The workshop represented fantastic value for money and everyone working there was delightful. We can’t wait to go back maybe with a few more friends in tow!

Bake with Maria is run by pastry chef and baker Maria Mayerhofer. Maria teaches a wide variety of baking classes in Childs Hill / Golders Green. We also do private and corporate classes in our kitchen as well as larger kitchens across London.
I did the cakes and pastry class which was fantastic. Maria makes you feel very welcome right from the start. For beginners like me, it was an ideal introduction to the world of baking. The recipes were accessible and utterly delicious. I'd say this class would also be good for anyone with previous baking experience, since Maria gave lots of helpful tips that will improve anyone's baking. You get welcome cookies on arrival too, which were AMAZING! Highly recommended. Oh, and I felt completely COVID safe. Spacious kitchen and a high standard of cleanliness

A group of five of us attended the Full Day Cooking Course at Enrica Rocca to celebrate a friend’s birthday. We had a fabulous time and enjoyed it from start to finish. We loved shopping for fresh, seasonal ingredients; sitting around the kitchen island chopping and chatting; discovering an amazing variety of anti pasti; making pasta; the exquisite Prosecco and wine; and of course, the eating. Throughout, Charlotte and Claire were lovely - perfect hosts, and we all left feeling not only full and relaxed but that we had learnt a great deal and gained lots of new ideas. It was as though we were visiting their Italian home - authentic and inspired.

Much more than a cookery school, this is a full-on culinary experience. Come join us in the kitchen for an amazing feast that you cook. Bring your own group or meet new cuisine-savvy friends as the wine flows and the kitchen heats up. The perfect alternative to another boring London attraction.
We have just completed our second cookery course with John, Emily and the team at Food at 52 and were as delighted as with the first. We can thoroughly recommend the Southern Indian and Moroccan full day courses and will certainly be back to learn more. Have also bought gift vouchers for family and friends, they make wonderful presents.

The School offers a wide variety of courses that are tailor made to suit the needs of a wide variety of groups: Schools Catering colleges Retailers Hotels Restaurants Processors Food Lovers Students at the School have modern facilities at their disposal and some of the most expert minds in the seafood industry to teach them. The Billingsgate Seafood Training School is located on the first floor of the Billingsgate Fish Market, which is the UK's largest inland fish market. If you're considering one of their classes ... look no more! This experience far exceeded anything we could have imagined. Our bubble of 4 people chose an early start ... "Morning Catch" starting at 5:45 am! (All Covid protocols were closely adhered to) CJ and Stewart were so welcoming, genuinely caring, enthusiastic and so knowledgeable. They went above and beyond for us and are both obviously an integral part of the Billingsgate Market. Great story tellers and an authentic experience that I would highly recommend
