We spent the day 10-4:30 at the cooking class and it was a very fun, educational and one of the highlights of our stay on Lake Como! Moreno was so sweet and entertaining I would highly recommend this cooking class to anyone visiting the lake!!! The class was in a casual setting and allowed you to ask questions and get tips from Moreno and some of the guests. We drank, cooked, laughed and made new friends. It was a great experience????. Cook on the Lakes is an Italian Cooking School on the Lake Maggiore, in the north of Italy. ALL COURSES HAVE HANDS-ON PHILOSOPHY! Every course has its own goals. We'll start to prepare the food all together as a group. We will know the recipes and their history, learn the basic skills, cook them. Usually all the lessons will start in the morning around 9 PM; we will work the whole morning until the food is ready and then we have lunch together; if your partners are around, they can join us for a small fee. When the course is finished, we will take pictures with your Italian cooking diploma and I'll give you a special souvenir to take home. Enjoy the location, totally surrounded by the nature and at the edge of the woods. On warm seasons the vegetables and other natural products will be available from my garden, and from the nearby local market place. Francesco is a a wonderfull host. She combines het coooking experience with a personal approach while teaching you the finesses of the Italian kitchen. She, and her husband, make you feel at home in their beautiful house and garden. We chose the regional recipes and Francesca included our special wish for a soup. Francesca, thanks a lot for a magnificent and tastefulll experience. If you are on a holiday near Lago Maggiore or Lago d’Orta you should really take a cooking class at ‘Cook on the lakes’! By the way, we felt very safe because she took all corona measures seriously.

We have spent two nights cooking with Nino and Peppe: 1 night pizza 2 night pasta and tiramisu They are 2 very professional chefs that they can teach in simply way and effectiveness. We got a very fun. Next year again :D

We had a wonderful day that started with shopping for ingredients in the local markets. This was such a unique and exceptional start to the day. We then went back to the cooking school and began making our masterpieces. We made bruchetta (different than I have ever tasted), homemade tagliatelle with bolognese sauce (my favorite) and finished it off with strawberry tiramisu! I mentioned that I did not like coffee so Christina and Elisabetta suggested strawberry. It was amazing. The best part of it all is that we were able to include our two little kids (2 and 4 year olds) in this experience too! They even had toys for the kids and Chef Christina had them help every step of the way. The kids LOVED IT (and so did Mommy and Daddy)! 5 plus stars!

Amy, all I can say is you are a very special person to allow us into your home and cook! We came September after not being able to travel due to the travel restrictions and so glad we were able to book this cooking experience. We had a fantastic time and the four of us enjoyed making, cooking and eating the amazing ravioli and gnocchi and panna cotta - helped along with the prosecco and limoncello! You are a fab host and would highly recommend to all that visit lake Como Also we have made pasta since we arrived home thanks to you.

We had a great experience at the Cinque Terre Cooking School. We were picked up promptly at the arranged time and brought to the site. Our teacher, Mr. Mendez, was very knowledgeable and skillful; entertaining too. We learned how to make pesto the traditional way, as well as an excellent baked sea bass. Also, gnocchi, stuffed vegetables and a delicious cake. To top it off, we were able to enjoy our cooking on their lovely terrace overlooking Monterosso al Mare below. What a wonderful day!
