Loved this experience - gave me the confidence to step outside the meat and three veg dinners. Very relaxed and accommodated all levels of cooking experience.

The Agrarian Kitchen Cooking School is set on a 5-acre farm offering paddock-to-plate experiences in a 19th century schoolhouse at Lachlan, 45 minutes from Hobart in Tasmania’s Derwent Valley, Australia. The Agrarian Kitchen was established by Rodney Dunn and his wife, Séverine Demanet who moved from Sydney to Tasmania in July 2007 to transform the schoolhouse into Tasmania’s first hands-on, farm-based cooking school. Cooking classes commenced in November 2008. Set on five acres, The Agrarian Kitchen Cooking School includes a working farm and incorporates an extensive vegetable garden, orchard, berry patch and herb garden, all grown using organic principles. Also in residence are Berkshire pigs, Barnevelder chickens, milking goats, a flock of geese and honeybees. The Agrarian Kitchen Cooking School grows and uses heirloom varieties of fruit, vegetables and rare breed animals in its cooking experiences and also sources ingredients from local farmers, fishermen, gardeners and artisan producers. Cooking experiences are led by Rodney Dunn, former Food Editor of Australian Gourmet Traveller magazine and one-time apprentice to Australian chef, Tetsuya Wakuda, as well as a supporting cast of Tasmanian cooks and producers.
Visited for a large group birthday lunch & chose the set price menu. Wonderful tasty, fresh food with plates to share. Great wait staff who were very helpful, especially with several young children in our group. Really appreciated this! The burratta, tomatoes, zucchini, lamb shoulder & desserts were great as were the cocktail choices. Would have loved a few more Tassie wines on the menu. The setting is comfortable & relaxed, despite the previous history of the building. Not a zombie in sight. Thanks for a wonderful experience.

Yallingup's #1 Cooking School teaches you the secret to authentic Tuscan, Thai or Wood-fired cuisine in a hands-on class. A fun experience you're guaranteed to enjoy. Hosts Sioban and Carlo Baldini are famous for their warm hospitality both at the cooking school, the Wildwood Valley Cottages, and their Italian tour business Mad About Tuscany. Sioban trained as a chef under Neil Perry and further Thai training at Sydney's Longrain. Carlo hails from Cortona, Italy and loves to share his knowledge through the Wood-fired class.
Was gifted a voucher and chose Taste of Tuscany. A day of listening, chatting, learning & laughing. Siobhan and Carlo were fabulous hosts, getting everyone involved, sharing their knowledge and experiences, culminating in a long, lazy lunch. Amazing and accessible recipes which I have enjoyed trying at home. Definitely looking forward to participating in more classes. Just do it!

A stunning venue with food, drink and beautiful staff to match. Completely loved this event - and the Cup was not the focus! The delicious share platters were incredible, as were the canapes prior to lunch. The seating afforded divine views, and outside the marquee, such gorgeous soft grass and opportunity to mingle. Extremely clever use of space, and such generous sharing of the best view in Wagga!

The Rustic Italian cooking class was my second adventure with VZ. Great food was enjoyed by all the new chefs developing new cooking skills. Recipe book and notes will be well used in years to come. Mel was very helpful in guiding and encouraging our cooking prowess. Highly recommend a class or two with friends. A bar to enjoy a cocktail before and during tops the evening off.
