"L'Atelier Mimolette" is a newcomer at Ipanema's restaurant scene! On the first months after its opening, it was almost impossible to get a table! It is still not that easy and reservations are highly recommended. It is a cozy restaurant, with a charming décor that reminds you of a cherry trees garden. Service is attentive and friendly. It has not an extensive menu or wine list. So, it is easier to choose and to be helped. We chose "Chevre cheese salad", "Tuna tartare" and "Steak& frittes". For dessert, a mix of all desserts to be shared. Everything was absolutely delicious and we did enjoy our first visit to "L'Atelier Mimollete". Prices are just average to those practiced in similar restaurants in Rio de Janeiro. Only good reasons to come back! Bon Appétit!

The best brazilian Barbecue! Here you choose a meat, chicken or fish, then, included in the price, you can enjoy our salads bar and the side dishes.
A fine steakhouse at Rio's downtown heart! If you are looking for a Brazilian "churrasco", "Demi-Glace Premium Grill" may be your best choice while strolling along downtown. A salad bar, grilled premium cuts, side dishes and great desserts (the "Chocolate Petit Gateau" is a must). A busy restaurant, where reservations are strongly recommended, as many office groups come here for all types of celebrations. It is noisy, but a lot of fun always. Bon Appétit!

Located in a charming colonial-style building in the 15th-century Cultural Corridor, Hachiko is an invitation to the palate. Translation of the perfect symbiosis between contemporary cuisine and the ancient oriental cuisine, Hachiko awakens sensations wit
Well, as I use to say: Every costumer knows when the owner of the business is on duty. Mauricio takes his task very seriously and developed sharp eyes to every costumer needs or feeling in concern of quality of food and service. The waiter Zé (pronounce the é as you say in yeah) is outstanding. You will pay a formula price of reasonable R$ 130,00 (about US$ 37,00) for an "all you can eat" plus desert. My wife assures that was the best lemon pay she ever tried. The place is tiny so better arrive before 12:30h, and opens just for lunch.Creative and exquisite far east food in an impeccable service, just in the hart of downtown of Rio de Janeiro, in a walking distance of lots of important places to visit as well as the public transportation to everywhere.Donât miss the ceviche and the tuna avocado. This is the one you must to go...Hi! We were super happy with your evaluation. We really take care of every detail here at Hachiko, as we know that this is fundamental for whoever visits us.You can be sure that we will convey your compliments to Zé and our entire team.Just a note: We also opened for dinner. So on your next visit, you can be with us at night.See you soon!Team Hachiko.

One block away from Botafogo tube station and amongst a number of other similar bars, this small restaurant offers a quality and creative menu, with very interesting combinations to surprise and please the eager and trained palates - it has character!Every day (exepct for Mondays) there are three specials (around 7-10 euros), in satisfying portions and appealing presentation. The guys in the kitchen do a great job, so is the waiting at tables, always present and attentive!Make sure to have "quindim de chocolate com sorvete de creme e calda de maracujá" - quindim is a egg yulk based Portuguese dessert one would never think of adding chocolate to, and they dared to do it, congrats!!

The food was excellent! Great textures, flavors, and unique combination of ingredients. International recipes with sauces and ingredients from different countries. Excellent service. Beautiful colorful decorations. Elegant, yet homey and comfortable. Definitely special. I spent a mother/daughter weekend here. We stayed in a suite and had a light lunch, nice dinner, and a breakfast fit for a king.

That's okay but if you happen to be at this bar, you have to give a try to their imaginative cocktails. I guarantee you that you will feel betrayed in positive manner because of the bartenders' passion to be creative and also it's outcome - creative and sophisticated taste. That cocktail I tried reminded me the cosmopolitan I used to have at the Grand Hyatt Tokyo, and way better than the Ines you get in the Fullerton in Singapore or the Dorchester in London! The taste and its well balance of single malt & citrus impressed me totally. If yo are in the area, it's a worth taxi ride to come around. Definitely. Dear Guest,Dear guest,We are glad reading such nice comments regarding our Abelardo Bar. Hope you come back soon to taste our new Barmen's creations, coming next month.Regards,Klaus

Matheus (and the nice hostess with glasses and dark hair during the evening... unsure of her name..?) gave us great service. They made solid recommendations and all of the dishes we had were delicious (ribs, tlv drinks - suuuupper good, and the Argentinian beef). We went back again and Matheus was just as great the second time around. Very good food and attentive service, I'd highly recommend it. First time going we were staying close by, and the second time we drove 30 mins from Ipanema to go again. Thank you to Matheus and the rest of the staff for giving us a nice night out.

We visited for lunch and despite not eating beef which was the main dish of the day the staff were more than accommodating and made us a vegetarian alternative which was excellent. They were on hand to give us anything we needed and you really do have the homely feeling here. All the staff were extremely friendly and the atmosphere was great and very relaxed. On top of this the food was delicious and we were offered more whenever we felt like it. All the staff were extremely enthusiastic about the project and I would definitely recommend going here.

"Casa Momus" brought a new concept for Rio's traditional bohemian Lapa Quarter! Awesome décor, mediterranean menu and great drinks. What else? Friendly service, cosmopolitan atmosphere and moderate prices. Sided by other famous restaurants in Lapa, as "Rio Scenarium" and "Mangue Seco", "Casa Momus" pretty much contributes to the revival of this important historical area of old downtown Rio. "Rua do Lavradio" is a pedestrian street very close to "Praça Tiradentes", so come by taxi and leave by taxi, always asking the driver to drop you as close as possible to your venue. Walking in downtown areas, principally in the evenings, at your very own risk. Just be careful, low profile and enjoy Rio's traditional Lapa Quarter. Bon Appétit!
