Welcome to ROOST. Why the name? Inspiration taken from the rooster weather vane on top of our gorgeous farm building we call 'home' to the energy expelled by all our staff in creating memorable experiences with us. We have come home to ROOST! We trust tha
Ask your waiter what dishes (s)he recommends, then you might get it right. Look at their body language and listen to the small hints when you order, you might realize that you are ordering something that is not good.Definitely not to be recommended is the Seared Tuna Salad - the tuna was really not tasty I can honestly say it is one of the worst salads I had.The Kombucha fizzy cultured fermented tea not nice, suppose it is for a specific connoisseur to enjoy it.The rest of my family were happy, but I definitely got it all wrong.

Open for lunch and dinner, seven days a week for light lunches and elegant dinners. Please book to secure your seat.
the hotel itself seems to be worth the 5 stars and so can be the restaurant. we had ample space and nice service. the menu was not confusing but rather concentrated on typical dishes. ostrich-carpaccio or mushroom soup as starter and a wonderful risotto to continue.. wines were standard. next visit with better wheather on the terace and maybe for lunch..

Grand Africa Lookout Beach welcomes guests with a sense of elegance and worldly charm while reflecting upon its setting over Africaâs most beautiful bay.
This restaurant wa without exception one of the best restaurant experiences I had in a long time. The service was perfect, personal and they made us fees special. Ad this to a very special location right on lookout beach topped with very good seafood, good wine selection and you are set for a memorable experience. Their Kingklip was perfectly prepared to keep it soft and tasty. The creme brulee was one of the best. Highly recommendable restaurant if you visit Plett. What a wonderful review Derick, thank you kindly for sharing this with us and the international travel community on Tripadvisor.Your compliments will be shared with our grand team and we do hope to welcome you back and serve you again some time...BenjaminGrand Africa Lookout Beach, Plettenberg Bay

Very good wine, with an amazing view. Also had a cheese platter for two, wich was huge.Would love to come back for a full lunch.
Celebrated my friend's birthday with breakfast at Villa Villekula - and WHAT A DEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELICIOUS breakfast it was - eggs newly laid from their chickens running free on their farm - Daniella & Willem's hospitality and home made bread can't be beaten. The coffee brewed on the coal stove and feeling the warm glow from the coal stove at our table - made the bacon & eggs & sausage all the more tasty - what a special place, overlooking the beautiful farm dam with an ever running spring inside. This is surely the place for may many more dinners & breakfasts. BOOKING ESSENTIAL!Thanks so much Len for your kind words, looking forward seeing you again

I sometimes forget how beautiful South Africa is. Driving along the Garden Route we booked ourselves into the Hunters Lodge and it felt like we stepped into a whole new world. This lodge welcomes you more then professionally. Everything your heart desires is already waiting for you. Incredible clean and with beautiful designed rooms, the surrounding garden will take your breath away. Little gestures like chocolate, cookies, extra water und rose petals together with gorgeous handwritten notes seem to be the norm.I will definitely return ASAPDear Adrianahani,Hunter's Country house is certainly a haven in this busy world and the Garden Route as you say is beautiful in itself. We are so happy to hear that you were cared for so well and that you enjoyed all our lovely little touches. We look forward to welcoming you back to the hotel!Warm regardsKaren

Our food was very nice, although it lacked flavour. The pizzas had plenty of topping and were very reasonably priced. The ladies serving were pleasant, and attentive. I love the chilli sauce served in a skull jar!If I had a complaint, the place is very untidy inside behind the bar and till counters
