On my 30 day road trip across Brazil, I have encountered lots of great food, but not a great selection of beer. Russo Gastropub has both. The waiters and bartenders were happy to discuss the different types of beer they had and what the chef's specialties were. I had the Filet de Ancho (Ribeye Steak) and an Ekäut Coffee Stout, and they were great. Nice medium rare (mau passado) cook on the steak and flavorful cerveja escura. The atmosphere and surroundings were great: contemporary but laid back. I would recommend this place to anyone coming to Maragogi.

After waiting more than 30 minutes, they brought a jar of juice with a lot of sugar, when we explicitly asked sugarless. Then, after a little more, we had tasteless crepe. The place wasn't even full and the service was just too slow. Don't recommend. (FYI: we payed R$ 50 for 2 crepes and 1 jar of juice).

This smallish restaurant is right on the beach in Maragogi and it is an excellent address for lunch. Seafood is a specialty. Of particular interest is the grilled lobster with macaxeira gnocchi and the grilled shrimp with all the usual trimmings. It takes a few moments to get your lunch but it is well worth waiting for. Highly recommended.
