Wonderful space for an extended stay
Reviewed By Dawn0710We stayed at these apartments for a few weeks while vitiating family. We had two, two bedroom apartments (#2 & #3). Both were wonderful, although the air conditioners in #3 are not connected to the generator, so when there are power outages that can be an issue. The apartments are large with kitchens stocked with cooking supplies (stove, toaster, fridge, pots, utensils, plates, cups). They are clean and well kept! The staff was phenomenal, always there to lend a hand. When we had a birthday celebration they set up the braii for us to use for the day. It is in a great location, right before the weigh bridge and it is easy to get to town via your car or a taxi. We will certainly stay here again when back in town.

Bad Customer Service
Reviewed By ChipunguI checked in at about 8:45 p.m. and was allocated a so called Executive room. I went out to get some food immediately after checking in. I got back at about 10 p.m. and prepared myself to sleep. There were mosquitoes in the room, no mosquito net, so I switched on the air conditioning as the lodge did not provide any mosquito repellant or insecticide. I however couldn't sleep and about 1 a.m. when I realised the reason I couldn't sleep which was a hard mattress. The mattress felt like I was lying down on a rock. I went to the reception and did not get any assistance at all. I then requested for a refund from the owner who indicated that it can only be done in the morning at 8:30. I then left to find descent accommodation elsewhere which I did at the marvelous "The Urban Hotel". In the morning I went back to the Lodge to get my refund and the owner of the Lodge refused to refund me claiming I used the room and ignored the fact that the mattress which is the main thing I went for so I could have a good night rest was pathetic. She even dared me to take her to court as she was not going to refund me at all. She went on ranting and raving with so much unreasonableness that I had to start coaching her on customer service. In the end I did not get my refund and was such a waste of time engaging her. This is a bad place to stay and I would not recommend for anyone to stay at this Lodge. Further, the lodge doesn't provide courtesy water in the rooms. The owner of this Lodge is arrogant and does not understand how to give excellent customer experience.

Economical Friendly and Clean
Reviewed By mauricebailey2017Stayed at the Oriental Swan for 4 days while atteneding a conference. This is not a 4 star hotel. But the service was good the staff friendly and helpful and the rooms spacious and clean.The eating facilities are best described as basic.THe food was ok.And the yes, the remote control for the AC was in Chinese. The wifi worked fine which is a deal breaker for me. If you are looking for economical base of operations for a budget friendly visit to Livingstone and Victoria falls this is worth looking at. I booked through Expedia and it was seemless. So 4'stars for what it is.

Lovely
Reviewed By mildred lVery good place especially If you're traveling with kids. We were here with a 2 yr old and a 6 yr old. It was just perfect. Very homey and nothing to worry about. Kitchen well equipped, beds comfortable, water pressure very good. Everything was just perfect. Environment, clean.there was an odourless mosquito spray provided so mosquitoes and bugs weren't a problem. I recommend these apartments. Will be back again.

Fallsview Apartments are self-catering apartments which contain a master's bedroom (self contained), 2 twin sized bedrooms. We have a swimming pool and inside mini-bar. Fully furnished apartments, we offer free internet services, free shuttle from the Airport and we arrange activities to adventurous locations; that is the Victoria Falls, a game drive through the park, a Boat cruise etc.
Excellent place to stay for groups

You would be mistaken to think that you are staying at a classy hotel.They have three separate bedrooms sleeping six people altogether and ideal for groups or families.Only downside is they are a bit far from the town centre and so you would ideally need to come with your own vehicle to move about or else be prepared to spend more on cabs.Also the gravel road that leads to the apartments from the main tar road needs a bit of attention and grading.As we were there we noticed very very miniscule issues that will require the owners attention such as the some of the floor tiles from the passageway starting to come unstuck.The toilet seat in the master bathroom was also loose as was the flush mechanism. And I think it would be wise for them to have another geyser installed as one geyser for the six of us was not adequate.

Well-located sweat box
Reviewed By 474gazzBooked for one night. It was October in Livingstone so it was VERY hot. Due to rolling blackouts, the A/C units in the cottage were not working and no fans were provided. The cottage remained VERY hot into late evening making it impossible to sleep. My 6yr old son was forced to sleep with mosquitos on the wicker chair outside. By 9.30pm, the backup power failed and we were in complete darkness with no candles available. At this point we could no longer tolerate it as we were advised power would return by 8pm. We aborted our stay at 9.45pm and found alternative accommodation with a generator and air conditioning. We returned the following day to discuss our experience with management who expressed embarrassment and hinted at a refund. I received a text message the following day stating there would be no refund. When I asked for a reason, there was no response. While I understand the challenges of load shedding, no attempt was made to make our stay more comfortable. When we asked for fans, we were advised there were none available and that the staff could do nothing as management had gone home. That management feels no refund is due, even in part, defies logic.

Reviewed By Patrick OThe rooms were adequate with kitchen facilities, smart TV, wonderful staff, secure however, the location is in a dusty bumpy road, no gym facilities, airport transfers offered at the cost of the guests.
