Situated on a plot of 3.000 m2 with garden and trees, ideal place for children.San Antonio beach Beach is front to the rooms and you can swim in 10meters distance.
I was with my family and a few friends at the end of August. I discovered a beautiful, quiet, clean location and some nice, friendly owners. They guided us and showed us the places nearby, the terraces where they eat very well, they made reservations at other restaurants in other localities, which they also recommended. We thank them for the hospitality and warmth they have shown throughout the 7 days holiday period. I warmly recommend both the location and the people who manage this beautiful corner of heaven. I look forward to the next vacation, which we would like to spend i same location, but more days. Adrian Dutu

Fourth time at this hotel and definitely last. We had a two bedroom apartment (room no 5) - it had definitely the worst/hardest mattress I have ever come across at a hotel. Our bodies were aching after the first night, things did not improve the second night when we complained and they added a quilt on top of the mattress. We are not talking about a tight, hard mattress - it was like sleeping on the floor and our impression was the owner must have had complaints in the past about this as she did not seem surprised when we complained - she easily offered us to only pay for the night we stayed and go if we wanted. Lastly, in a period when pandemic is still here it is unacceptable to have outside visitors at the pool just for the sake of extra revenues (5 euros per person). They did it before the pandemic, we had pointed out again that this degrades the quality for the residents with the pool full of outsiders and they had promised to stop the practice. Although, the room was clean and view is nice, the above issues (primarily mattress and also pool issue) show lack of respect for the hotel’s guests, regardless of the (indeed low) price. The tables at the pool area need also to be cleaned more diligently.

We've been fans of the Aegean islands for around twenty years and we fancied seeing Chios for the first time. Getting there required an international flight to Athens and then a short local flight to the island itself. Aegean Airways own both carriers and ticketed us all the way through, so the only downside is the wait at Athens - our baggage was ported straight through. Chios airport is tiny but, in our experience, efficient and the taxi to our holiday home in the fishing village of Katarraktis took well under half an hour. Katarraktis is still how we remember and love Greek fishing villages, facing east across the Chios Strait. Ostria Apartments does the same and on our first night we speculated at the display of ruby-red lights glimmering across the water. At breakfast it was obviously a wind-farm in Turkey! We liked our private balcony but had wondered about shade. That was no problem because the access balcony is in shade in the morning and it was easy to sit out there when needed. We had a nice sized room with a modern bathroom but (fairly normal for Greece) no shower curtain. There is a small but usable kitchen area with hotplate. We take egg-cups everywhere and you will need to get coffee filters. Everything is beautifully clean. Other Aegean islands, such as Samos and especially Ikaria have plenty of fresh water, but on Chios the water-supply is limited and you will be advised not to drink the tap-water because of the mineral content. (The locals seem to concur and it may be that there are some unusually high levels of chromium minerals, perhaps due to the volcanic soils.) Not a problem brushing your teeth or making coffee, we'd say. Katarraktis doesn't display conspicuous wealth - there were few new cars - but, despite some disused older houses, the village looks cared for and characterful. It has that elusive, unforced quality of quiet charm. There are two mini-markets - the one up a side-street and identifiable by its caged-birds has the better range but they are both helpful. Take your phrase book if you want to buy anything you can't point at. We had a good laugh when my request for butter was mistaken for batteries. The latter don't spread too well. There are enough places to dine out and the food is fine. We went to Meltaki most where we typically got two courses and two beers for just over 30 euros. We had decided not to hire a car for our short break, so we can't tell you how wonderful the mastic-growing area is or the wild area in the north-west, but I'm sure some other more adventurous visitors will do the honours in that regard. Enjoy!

MaryAn Apartments is the place to be if you are looking for spacious rooms, lovely surroundings and ambiance. Everything is kept thoroughly clean: the rooms, the courtyard, the pool. Lovely space in the romantically-lit courtyard where you can spend a quiet evening with a glass of wine. It's the best accommodation we have had in Greece at the seaside. Olga and Nikos are extremely helpful with whatever you may need. If in Thassos again, we will definitely choose the same location.

I stayed at Kerame Studios with friends for 5 days and the experience was great!!! The room was cozy and clean, painted traditional greek island. The view was amazing, the pool side really really nice! We also tried the food there and it was tasty!! The location is near everything!!!!

Very central location. The streets are narrow and during nights silent. There is a lift, but stair to the front door. Acceptable cooking facilities thus during time when all restaurants are closed on could need some more.

This was our second visit. It was absolutely fabulous again. Such a lovely warm welcome from Alex and Sonila as soon as we arrived. Such a lovely family and made our stay so very special. Fabulous views from our bungalow. Ate most evenings in the restaurant as Sonila is such a great chef. She really went the extra mile and cooked some fantastic meals. She also does great breakfasts, lunches and snacks. It was great to sit by the pool, have a swim, enjoy a snack and take in those wonderful views. Helen was very helpful and welcoming and made the booking very easy. Alex, Sonilla and Merremae really made our holiday and we had some great laughs and had so much fun. We will be back again to this wonderful special place.

What a disappointment it was visiting Klima Paradise this year (2022). After we tried to get a reservation in Klima Paradise early February 2022 we were informed by Klima paradise with several confusing emails that a reservation was not possible because all apartments were booked in the period May-June. This was a disappoint for us as being Samos and Klima bay lovers for many years now. So we moved to Marathokampos whitch is also a very nice place to be. Of course we were curious about all the renovations and based on all the reservations the place should be packed with guests. When visiting the place on may 24 we were very surprised to see that there were no guests at all and all the apartments seemed to be empty. Where is everybody and where is the great atmosphere we are used too??? Nothing of such kind. Really sad to see the dramatic change here. So we sat down on the terras to have a drink and maybe some lunch. The owner was present at the place but for some reason he did not find it necessary to give us a welcome, offer a menu and something to drink. Totally no reaction at all although he did notice us on the terras. The owner was just looking away and eventually turned his chair so he could sit with his back to us. Ultimately rude. After 15 minutes we just gave up. The place looks strange, deserted and hospitality is completely gone. Looking at the terras, no umbrellas were available to protect from the sun. That is very strange as guests need to have some protection but the owner seems to think that this is not important at all. To the owner, I don’t know what you are thinking but this is not the way to treat old an new guests. You definitely need to wake up and start a serious business or sell the place to someone who can develop and lead a fantastic beach place I am sad to say that we will not return to Klima Paradise very soon.
