Elan at Ballena Beach, a luxurious resort development nestled along a narrow stretch of southwestern Costa Rican coastline known as Costa Ballena. There aren’t many vacation homes where one of the best beaches in Costa Rica is at your doorstep, a national park is your next-door neighbor, and an incredible resort with private pools and modern day conveniences surround you. The resort features a series of elevated pools and Jacuzzi, outdoor BBQ and dining pavilion, spa treatments, 24 hour security, cleaning and concierge services, nature trails, free Wi-Fi throughout the property, and secure parking. All two and three bedroom units are tastefully furnished and decorated. All units are air/conditioned and include cable TV and high speed internet. The kitchen is outfitted with everything you need to feel at home. The main large terrace in your vacation home lets you interact with monkeys and amazing colorful birds native to the area.
We had five nights in a two bedroom apartment. The apartment is gorgeous and really well equipped. The pool area is beautiful with different pools - very shallow baby pool, deep pool with seating ledge and a jacuzzi. Direct access to the beach which is basically deserted but beautiful. You walk through a stretch of jungle to get to it, where we saw howler monkey and crabs and lizards. The one thing to note on the beach is that the currents are very strong. Camilla was really responsive and friendly, adding good service to the good qualities.

Located in the most exclusive residential zone in Playas del Coco, Pacifico, developed by The Jack Parker Corporation, is just a 20 minute drive from Liberia International Airport. Our property is conveniently located in walking distance to the beach, super markets, convenience stores, souvenir shops and premium quality restaurants and spa.
We had an enjoyable stay, the accommodations were quite nice. Grounds well kept & guard station to get in by car. However, should expect this for the $126 extra we had to pay. Staff seemed snobby to us, perhaps because they somewhat look down on RCI sign-ins? Used a great private tour guide (Herson, WhatsApp 506-8990-8115) for three excursions, highly recommend!

Casas Del Toro Apartments are affordable apartments located between Playa Conchal and Playa Flamingo and within 20 minutes driving to some of the most beautiful beaches in the Guanacaste area. The apartments, studios, boutique rooms, and villas are available for short-term rent, and we offer a wide variety in terms of room selection.
Stayed here for a week as the hotel is owned by the same owners as CPI, a Spanish language school nearby. The staff is charming and helpful and there is a lovely pool, which is a great way to cool off, as the daytime temperatures can exceed 90 degrees. There is a good laundry service. The units are equipped with a kitchenette, which is convenient as there is a supermarket about a 10 minute walk away. The rates are very reasonable. A breakfast is included, although the choice is somewhat limited.

Very helpful, owner created book of tips. Although out of town walking not really a problem. But owner often gives a lift. Look out for the local crocodile but don't worry unless you are a chicken! We chose larger room which was good for access to kitchen which had everything you need including fridge microwave. Coffee served mornings.

Cabanas del Rio is a brand new option for lodging in La Fortuna de San Carlos, Arenal, Costa Rica. Nestled in the middle of the Costa Rica's Rainforest, our place is located at only 5 minutes from downtown La Fortuna, and near Hot Springs, jungles, rivers, and waterfalls, and some 2 1/2 hours from Juan Santamaria International Airport, San Jose, and 3 hours from Daniel Oduber Airport in Liberia. Each of our 10 units is completely furnished and fully eqquiped to host as many as 6 people, but couples and smaller groups are highly welcome too. Cabanas del Rio is known for it's excellent costumer service, as well as it's love for nature. Therefore, we have recreated a natural habitat for birds, amphibians, reptiles, insects and plants, and, once in a while, we are also visited by mammals like monkeys, sloths, coaties, and more. Besides, we have a naturalist on site, who will be more than happy to give you a free tour through our biolgical garden.
Amazing place!!! We had such a great time. Spacious and super clean. Well equipped kitchen and comfy beds. Service is fabulous and staff are super helpful for everything you need. The garden and river at the back are breathtaking. Birds watching in the morning and frogs by night were the highlights of our stay.

Had a great time in Villas la Paz. Andy the host was very helpful, gave us all the info on what to do and made our stay unforgettable. We (me and my girlfriend) stayed in Casa Naranja and we brought our dogs which was a plus. The near by beach Conchal (Puerto Viejo side) was a dream beach, not crowded at all and great for relaxing, no waves at all, clear blue waters and perfect for a nice stroll too. There are lots of other beaches we went to by car, we recommend to have a 4x4 if you want to explore and feel adventurous. Many areas are just minutes away by car so you wont feel stranded there but this is definitely a place of the beaten path just to relax and enjoy a beautiful beach and lots of wildlife. We will be back for sure!!

First trip to CR and it didn’t disappoint at Los Suenos Resort. After many years going to Cabo we took the chance and booked here. Super quiet and safe. Plenty of space, clean and friendly. No regrets!

In 2021 I was here on business for six months and Mr Stalia went out of his way to make sure I was taken care of. When my reservation at another location did not work out, he was generous to reserve me my delightful room just a few days ahead of arriving at Liberia airport. My sliding glass door led out to a covered back porch with round glass top table and four chairs with a view of the gorgeous clean, well maintained pool. It was great to sit outside during the rainy season and enjoy the storm. The groundskeeper did an excellent job of maintaining all the colorful tropical plants and walkways. They even washed and dried my cloths for me weekly and delivered them neat and folded to my door. I had requested high speed internet for work and he gave me the room right under the internet antenna. I met all my neighbors to the left and right of me for six months and all of them enjoyed their apartment. The house cleaners came at least once a week and sometimes twice a week. It was a quiet and peaceful place with no wild parties. I would not be very surprised if the one star reviews were SPAM. The nasty negative reviews don't mention that Tamarindo was completely shut down for Covid in 2020. And in 2021, every hotel and restaurant owner in town were trying to recover from massive financial losses. It was also extremely difficult to hire help at that time. So sorry that spoiled Americans and other guests with unrealistic expectations whine and complain for a $50 room. They should have gotten a $180 room.

I would recommend this place, it is conveniently located near by the bank, supermarket, and within walking distance to the beach and a few other "sodas" (Bars). Freddy and his nephew went out of their way to give us assistance with the sim card and other things we had questions about. The pool is GREAT, the rooms are comfy, the outdoor veranda/patio is a great spot for sitting and relaxing. Call ahead to make your reservation or search online for a coupon code.
