The grand story of China features a great wall, a forbidden city, and a few thousand Terracotta warriors. Settings include the sci-fi skyline of Shanghai, the jutting peaks of Zhangjiajie, and the tropical beaches of Hainan, but the tale of this ancient kingdom began long ago.

I would like to show my gratitude to Mr. YAN XUDONG for his help and patience. Mr. YAN provide great information when I was still uncertain about what kind of room I should book for my family, which has 3 people. Upon his information, we got a two-bedroom apartment in The Sebel and it was pleasant to stay. The Sebel was located at the busiest places in Xining and numbers of big shopping centers are within walking distance. Various restaurants and bars ensure that we can have plenty of choices and colorful nightlife. We would also recommend the restaurant called Du nord-ouest in SOFITEL which was a good place to try the traditional cuisine. What keeps me impressed is still the service of the staff. Mr. YAN welcomed us in the lobby and helped us check in warmly. During our stay, all staffs are very helpful and get ready for whatever we requested. I enjoyed every moment in The Sebel Xining because of the wonderful care provided by every staff of the hotel. The Sebel Xining is definitely the no.1 hotel and I will stay again!

Arrived about 20min before end of serving time for breakfast. Value for money (22euros) is not very good at this time... most options were cold and soggy. Disappointing experience for a five star hotel. Although i would give four stars for effort by the staff.

Two-night stay in November 2020, two adults and three children. Stayed in a two bedroom deluxe apartment. As a Bonvoy status member, inquired at check-in about an upgrade to an executive apartment, was told the executive side of the hotel had a group of government workers and that we would be better off on the other side of the hotel. "Very noisy group", the lady at check-in said. OK. Seemed like we were the only foreigners in the hotel, was called about 30 minutes after check-in and questioned on why we were in China/Beijing. Had to go back down to the front desk and I had to prove to them that we were in China legally. When I questioned this why we were being asked, they dodged the reason for this. They did find my answers and documents in order and let the issue go. Strange that we were questioned, as I've stayed at at least 5 other Beijing hotels in the last year and have never been hassled like this before. Room was nice and big, not brand new, but still very nice and modern. Older TVs, but decent channel selection. My children enjoyed the rooms and there was definitely room to spread out. Breakfast is catered for local Chinese guests, but still enough there for my family. Nothing great, but passable. One quirk... The room had four bottles of complimentary water. I called the front desk and asked for a few more bottles of water. At first, they said they would send some up, but then she asked me how many bottles I had, and I told her. She said that was the daily limit. I told her that seemed strange, especially since we were 5 people in the room. She said they could send up more for 5 rmb per bottle. Instead, my kids went and grabbed some 5 liter bottles from the Family Mart next door. Was not upset that we had to pay for water next door, but thought it a bit strange that they had such a strict water policy. When you are paying over $300 a night, 4 small bottles for 5 people? It felt the hotel was not accustomed to foreign tourists and gave us some pretty bad advice. We stayed at this particular hotel to visit the Forbidden City, about a 15 minute walk from the hotel. At check-in, we spoke with both the desk agent and one of the managers, and inquired about how to go to and get tickets at the Forbidden City. They told us to just walk over there and purchase tickets at the ticket counter. We spent 20 minutes walking over there, more than an hour to get through the security check. When we arrived at the ticket counters the next morning, they told us tickets must be booked in advance and only purchased using WeChat. Spent another 40 minutes at the ticket counter to learn that tickets are NOT sold at the ticket counters, only ID verification is done at the site. While we do have a WeChat account, the only tickets available were for the following week. So OUR fault for not checking this online prior to our trip to Beijing. BUT it was upsetting that they did not know or failed to tell us that we needed tickets in advance. The hotel markets itself as a great gateway to the Forbidden City, but they were not up-to-date on access and ticket information for the site. So rooms are nice, service is spotty. Having a room this large in Beijing is nice, but as a Marriott that does market itself as an international hotel for international visitors, they need to work a little harder. We've stayed at multiple hotels in Beijing for work, the other Marriotts and luxury hotels are nicer and more accustomed to foreign travelers. But we would stay here again, the rooms are big and we are a big family. However, I wouldn't rely on the hotel staff for help on any tourist issues.

It was also very convenient to be so close to shopping and a convenience store. The room service menu is excellent. The staff was amazing and speak english very well. We were also here during the holidays and it was pleasant to see a christmas tree in the lobby.

This is my second review on Modena Shanghai Putuo because I had to write this. I was sent to a hospital emergency room for stomach homerrahhage in the evening of Jun 21, 2021. Linda Lin first visited and found me in a dangerous condition in my Modena room and arranged car and driver to send me immediately to the emergency room, and Sandy Hua accompanied me thru the whole checking process and stayed there with me until midnight. I don't think an ordinary review would be enough for my appreciation and gratitude. They are not just hotel staff. They are family. They saved my life. And on another note, the manager Jason Jiang is also great. I'm here sending my deepest gratitude to them!

Located close to lively Causeway Bay and the bustling business hub in Hong Kong’s Eastern District, Shama Island North features 121 contemporary units. Rest amongst the vibrant metropolitan with our well-appointed facilities, such as the fitness centre, spacious lounge area and rooftop terrace.
Was here for 4 nights before permanently relocating and it was a decent stay. The hotel had good amenities and services which is typical of a hotel stay. Staff were friendly and accommodating throughout and they had a decent enough gym to get in some exercise during the evenings. Only issue is the 5-7 minute walk to the closest MTRs but bus services directly below the hotel can patch that up.

Very well located hotel when you need to need to take a flight early morning. Shuttle to the airport. Comfortable rooms with Wi Fi. A bit noisy due to the airport. Restaurant with a very poor service when you arrive late at night: wait, limited choice. Breakfast OK.

Ideally housed in an iconic building in Lujiazui financial district, ifc residence is located in the heart of the pudong lujiazui business and financial district. Walking distance to Jinmao tower, Shanghai world financial center, Oriental pearl TV tower and the bund. Ifc residence a well-equipped gym for those wanting to maintain their work out routine. The next delight is the playful nature – inspired children’s area as well as a state-of-the-art fitness studio lined in solid planks of natural oak. The rooms was spacious and the staff was friendly and try to help as much as they can. There is a free coffe and snacks all day in the lobby. The location was perfect attached to ifc mall and near to the ritz Carlton hotel. The breakfast was good. I would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone who planning to visit Shanghai with their family.

Located in Huaqiang North, an area of Shenzhen’s Futian district known for its world-renowned electronic markets, Fraser Suites Shenzhen boasts 211 beautifully appointed Gold-Standard residences. The first to offer serviced apartments in the area, Fraser Suites Shenzhen has been thoughtfully designed to match the needs of both leisure and business travelers. With a range of one and two-bedroom accommodation types, Fraser Suites Shenzhen balances the elegance of a five-star hotel with the freedom and flexibility of a studio apartment in Shenzhen. That extends to luxurious touches such as a rooftop swimming pool and sky bar, as well as in room washer-dryers, WiFi throughout, and well-equipped kitchenettes. If cooking isn’t on the menu, then three on-site restaurants are available to delight the senses! Fraser Suites Shenzhen is located just a short walk away from four lines of the Shenzhen metro, and a ten-minute drive from both Futian railway station and checkpoint.
We stayed at Fraser Suites Shenzhen for three nights in August 2020. Upon arrival, we were upgraded by one category to a one-bedroom suite - a very nice touch. The suite itself was extremely spacious, with a kitchenette/dining area, washing machine/dryer, separate bedroom, and two very spacious closets. A deep, large bath was also available. The kitchenette was supplied with cutlery, cooking utensils and laundry detergent powder. The 22-metre rooftop infinity pool was never crowded, and afforded some excellent views of Shenzhen Central Park and Futian CBD. Service was generally very good throughout, especially at the front desk. A fascinating feature of this hotel were two robots who were on standby to deliver any takeaway orders directly to your room - a very nice and convenient touch, as hotels in China usually require guests to either collect takeaway orders in person at the entrance of the hotel. The shopping mall right next door provides a great selection of restaurants and shops, and the hotel itself is located right adjacent to the electronics district of Shenzhen. All in all, a very comfortable and affordable stay. We were looking towards somewhere which had a more of a luxury serviced apartment feel instead of a hotel, and we were certainly not disappointed in the slightest.
