Helpful staff and clean rooms!
Reviewed By Adventure805312The location is not in downtown but close to our working place. The staff can help you get " local Uber " via a local app. It's cheaper than taxi. The Thai staff 高鹏 ( Daniel?) was excellent!! He helped me a lot, always patient with my questions, he can speak Chinese which is a plus. This hotel is like 酒店式公寓, very convenient with a kitchen and a washing machine. For the review mentioned " there's no hot water for shower ", it's wrong. actually u need to turn on the small machine next to the tube. Hot water came immediately. My roommate got the same problem and I figured she didn't press the screen of the machine ??? By the way I forgot to return the transfer charger when I checked out... Contact me if you staff saw the review. Thanks

Best budget hotel in Chiangmai for me
Reviewed By Chul SI had to travel to Chiangmai quiet often recently on my job and just require a nice clean place to stay for a few days each time, so I have change the hotel every time I was there to seek for the better and worth what was paid and finally I found one almost perfect. I wonder why some guest gave this pkace a terrible rate due to different expectation and need. So this is a budget hotel which cuts all the unnecessary luxurious out to push the price to US $20 a night. What can u get in western countries for a otice loke this is a dirty and small room but here u get a modern studio unit with separate small pantry and relaxing corner with a sofa and double 32 inches LED Tv in both bedroom and relaxing/dining-pantry room. Bathroom has full glass door separate shower area from toilet which is very diffucukt to find in hotel of this price. Very ckean and quiet. But u have to have your own transportation as it is about 5 miles from the city and there are too many "B2" branches in Chiangmai which would make taxi driver confuse but this is common in big city as Chiangmai where tgere are ten thousands of hotel. The mattress i found very firm and comfort this is the matter of choice for each person. Cooking utensile , microwave. 5 cu ft fridge are provided in the room.My only complain was that there is no kleenex in the room but toilet paper cuz many Thais use Toilet oaoer for the same ourpose as Kleenex. Anyway I would conclude that this is a 5 star budget hotel, very clean and more than u eoect from a 600 baht/ night.

Boutique apartment with cute interior decoration
Reviewed By jajavalBCute small hotel with lovely interior decoration is opposite Chiangmai cultural center , near Kadmanee night market, close (only 2km on walk) from airport. I stay for early morning flight from airport , it’s very convenient to go on feet or go by public transportation, 15 baht flat rate municipality white bus or red public car Si Lor Darng. This hotel consists of 2 mian buildings , one for the Xym hotel and another for the xym mini hotel. I stayed in Xym mini with all facilities comforting my stay . There is a rooftop pool opening from8:00-20:00 at the Xym building. There are also tranquil cafe at the front where you can enjoy drinks and pastries here.

Best cycling spot and hotel a cyclist can dream of!
Reviewed By didier195I spent one and a half month at the Vanilla and I liked it very much! Both staff and management are looking for you to have the best possible holidays. They try all they can in fact. Prin run the place with flair, and professionalism. He is an avid cyclist and the residence is designed to accommodate all cyclist need.... and all inclusive in the reasonable price asked: 100% safe bicycle park (no need to locked your expensive bike, since there is a 24 hours/7days security person looking mainly to secure the place and your bicycle), a work spot with stand and all the tool, also a cleaning/hose station. Rooms are perfect, large (more than 30 sqm), drinking water is even included. If I had to think about a weak point, I'd say that it is a little noisy, but all in all, not disturbing indeed. I'm hoping on going back for 2 months this coming december, I enjoy the cycling spot like none, or almost: best weather, smooth thai rural roads, climbs, flat, rolling, scenery, elephants, temples, you got it all. Social group rides almost everyday found on FB or else often directly from Vanilla. Well located, near the Dot Suttep, near the cycling path that takes you to Samoeg or the northern remote back road, yet close to the city for shopping and eating..... Miss Vanilla so much already..... Thank you and see you soon!

Amazing Stay
Reviewed By sneaky_nicBig Tree or Ritz Old Town was a good find. They are located at the other side of Old Town which is fine with us since we like to walk and we didn't want to be in the crowded area. Breakfast was simple, but it was good and fulfilling. We were put in on the 4th floor, but we didn't mind since they have an elevator. The room was pretty spacious as well as their bathroom and we also had a balcony. It was really quiet at night and they have a blackout curtain which was great and we always have a goodnight's sleep. The staff was super friendly and always smiling. I will definitely stay here again and recommend this to our family and friends.

Terrible location, "free good breakfast" was a bowl of soup...
Reviewed By Jay TThis hotel was labeled as "free good breakfast" which was the main reason I booked it (after staying at an elephant camp for a week I wanted a buffet breakfast) turns out it was a bowl of soup. Worst location ever, nothing nearby but motorways and a building site. Room was immaculate but shower was poor and no English TV channels, regretting staying here!
