We arrived at the apartments and did wonder if we had the right place. It looked like a block of flats with very few signs of life. A note on the door explained how to contact the caretaker as the reception is not staffed after 8 pm. He duly arrived and did not speak a great deal of English, but we managed to understand each other with some 'O' level French. There are codes for the front door and the gate. The gate is closed at 9 pm. We went into Lisieux for something to eat and brought a takeaway back to the apartments. We did have some trouble getting back through the gate as the code did not seem to work, but some help over the intercom got it sorted. We had two apartments between the six of us (one family and one double) and both were very clean and well presented with a good wifi signal. We even managed to find a film channel in English. The rooms were quite hot, but you can open the windows and close the electric shutters with some air gaps so we had a very restful nights sleep. There is an option of continental breakfast for an additional charge (7.5 euros), but we decided to check out and go into Lisieux for breakfast at a cafe. Lisieux is a lovely place to look round and we spent longer there than we anticipated as it was a stop off on the way through France. If we do a similar trip we would be happy to book the same apartments

On the Normandy coast, facing the charming fishing harbor of Grandcamp-Maisy, Les Isles de Sola is a superb starting point to discover the D-Day beaches and enjoy the treasures of Calvados. Recently performed in respect of Norman architecture, it enjoys a prime location on the harbor. Only a few meters from the beaches and the sailing school, this beautiful residential complex of only 3 floors has a pool, open from mid-April to September. An ideal situation for tonic holidays, tourism or idleness according to the desires of each. The 94 fully equipped apartments of Grandcamp-Maisy residence have a complete kitchenette (hotplates, microwave, coffee maker) with a TV, double beds, a sofa you have ... just open your bags and enjoy Grandcamp-Maisy, pretty resort that borders the Channel. Type of breakfast : BUFFET at 9.50 €
Very friendly and understanding and cooperative staff. Great location for a good price. Even though it was a bussiness trip it was a great stay at Adonis Grandcamp hotel. Thank you so much for a welcome stay!

Spent one night at Sejours & Affaires Caen after visiting astonishing Etretat and before heading to D-Day Beaches. Our room was large (basically a flat complete with kitchenette), very clean and recently renovated. Inexpensive rates, excellent value for money. Would stay here again. My most heartfelt suggestion for a meal in Caen: have your lunch/dinner at L'Embroche (feel free to check my review if interested). Simply amazing!

Nice rooms! But it looks quite small. The stuff is very welcome but I happened that in my case they were just not able to solve my small issue ))) The main advantage - it is its position, close to the public transportation, supermarket and GANIL. Very effective late check-in: my train was late (it happens in France) they provided me a message with the detailed instructions how to reach my room! Cool!

Ok I am trying to be balanced and there are some good points about Smartappart Caen, It is centrally located with reasonable underground parking nearby. Booking is easy but little in the way of guidance should you have any issues with your room. Our apartment was small and in the roof space with some interesting use of space! I only banged my head twice! Overall things seemed clean but with some stray long hair in the bed! The bathroom and toilet were tiny and clearly 'designed' but not tested by a designer, as a 181cm tall biggish guy it was very difficult to shower or use the toilet easily. The equipment in the kitchen was good with everything a couple could need for a short stay and was clean. Having said all of this we would have been happy with our short visit but, each morning both ours and our friends apartment had no running water and no water to the toilet. Water kept coming on the stopping mid shower or as you flushed the toilet. Not the best when it is the hottest time of the year and you are covered in soap foam!

“Chez Laurence du Tilly” is a townhouse, in the center of Caen, which reflects the style and universe of Laurence, the owner, french designer. The three guest apartments are located over three floors, each designed and fitted out as an ideal space, which she might dream of discovering herself, when travelling for personal or professional reasons. A unique place where you will feel like at home.
The bottom line is that this is a spacious, clean, convenient and most attractive apartment. The hospitality was outstanding. The location, in the heart of Caen, proved to be both entertaining and interesting. Before arriving you should know the exact location of the building. This is a crowded area and that knowledge will facilitate your registration. Laurence greeted us and explained the inner workings of the apartment. Waking up to a baguette was a treat! Should we return, we would not hesitate to stay there again.

We got the 4th floor unit which was very modern, newer, quiet, and literally minutes from the church and the harbor. The location can’t be beat. The street it’s situated on has quite emblematic of the entire town of Honfleur. There are abundant food options minutes away. One strange thing was no hair dryer. We had 3 young kids and between the queen bed in the bedroom and the comfy sofa bed in the living room, it was sufficient space. It also had a full kitchen. There is a lift up to it and even a “mud” room of sorts in the entry way to store our stroller and dirty shoes. Now the parking and checking in – which seemed to be the reason for some folks giving lower rating. The check in process is not the most straight forward. This is what we did and it seemed to have gone quite smooth. You first go to the Best Western/Cheval Blanc hotel at the harbor. As mentioned you can pay for onsite parking space for 12 Euros…. IF AVAILABLE. Unfortunately there was no availability for our 1 night stay. So what we did was go down the one way street, park along one of the restricted parking spaces and there seemed to always be one empty right out front, and we’d park there temporarily while we unloaded/loaded and got our luggage upstairs. The front desk will also provide a map of options but there were several overnight parking options which supposedly was also around the same price but further away. We opted for the FREE one back on Boulevard Charles V street just west of Naturospace. There are 2 parking lots there so make sure you find the one that’s free. Yes this is about half mile or so away but it didn’t cause us as much pain as I read in some reviews. Honfleur definitely deserved one more day to fully experience this beautiful city and its surroundings but if we ever come back again, we’d definitely consider this hotel again.

Rooms clean but no fridge or kettle. Bed was soft but comfortable. Bathroom very good although small. We had attic room which explains compact size. Easy to walk to everything especially great patisserie for breakfast. Hosts very friendly. 11a is to the right of 11. Ring doorbell and hosts will arrive with keys. You won't want to spend much time in room with so much to see in this beautiful harbour town.

A picturesque fishing village on the Côte Fleurie, near Deauville. Residence with perfect location: on the beach and near shops and activitiesWith heated indoor pool.
We found on booking dot com a lot of negative comments… So we were scared after our "booking in a hurry".. bur EVERTHING was VERY NICE in this hotel! OK, sometimes the second elavator was out of order, but in general is was a PERFECT STAY! Very NICE BREAKFAST, CLEAN ROOM, NICE BED, etc POOL with a view, and a PERFECT POSITION in Trouville. Okay, You have to pay the parking, but thats seems to be everywere in Normandie (NOT in Fécamps…!!!)
