Hotel Agnadi consists of spacious studios/apartments with all the comfort you need. All rooms have a fantastic view over the sea and the bay of Aegiali. The accommodation is located in the port of Aegiali in a quiet are near the beach and village centre. In the terrace of our bar & cafe you can have breakfast or enjoy a drink at sunset.
Fotini from the Agnadi hotel could not have been more gracious to our guests who had to cancel as a result of their flight to Athens being cancelled and then missing the ferry to Amorogos. Their location has a beautiful view and just a few minutes walk into the village. So worth the Value. We will keep them on our list!

I have been in this enchanting hotel, in the beautiful Tholaria, last July. Nikos e his wife welcomed us so exquisite. The rooms are lovely, clean and comfortable; the garden is extremely nice and has an unforgettable view... as being in a dream. Also the location is strategic to visit the beautiful beaches near Aegiali. I'll return soon in this hotel to live Amorgos another time!

We had the most beautiful stay in Katapola thanks to Thomas and Angela. The apartment we stayed in was right in front of the beach, walking distance to the cafe, bakery and . The apartment was very clean and full of light. We ended it up renting the car also from them, wich made everything easier. Above all, they were the kindest hosts we could have asked for and for sure we will be coming back!

Very nice apartment, very comfortable and with views to die for. The owner Nancy is very friendly and helpful. In the village there are many restaurants and cafes, so you have anything you need on your doorstep without having to drive. A wonderful stay

Even you have to "climb" a steppy street till there (and it's not easy with luggages), it worth. Clean, quiet but a liittle too small room, with nice terrace, where you can have breakfast or dinner very nice and friendly hosts. Great sunsets on the terrace! 5-10 minutes to bus station, and 15-20 minutes to port (left) or to little and beautiful Xilokeratidi (right). It's so difficult to choose between Katapola and Aegiali, both are beautiful and charming places, with very chic restaurants and caffes, personally I liked more Aegiali with (of course) nearby villages Potamia, Tholaria and Lagada. Katapola is a little greater than Aegiali and "has" Xilokeratidi (must see, by day and by night!) and amazing Hora - the capital of island, gem village with narrow typically cycladic streets and astonishing views! Amorgos is one of the strangest cyclade island I've seen, a huge "stone" in the sea, a long mountain (cca 700 m high) almost permanently covered by clouds, windy (but this is another story!), with amazing landscape and beautiful beaches. It worth to rent a car to see the south of island, Kalotaritissa is great! The roads are good but... is like driving at 2000 meters! I dreamed to Amorgos for many years, and finally I saw "her" ! The reward: an unusual strong wind followed us all the time, (people said they never seen that), and in the end it brought a surprise: the sea storm stopped all the vessels traffic in Cyclade for two days, we lost the plane, and arrived in our country 3 days later! ...but this is nature, and an advertising about climate changing!

In the magnificent cycladic village Tholaria you can find a quiet and tastefully decorated property preserving the traditional style at the same time. This villa consists of one apartment for 2-5 people and two studios for 2-3 people each. It's situated in the upper part of the small and quiet village providing the guests with a unique and unforgettable view to Aegean sea, the valley of Aegiali and the village and unforgetable sunsets. Here you will enjoy the quietness of the place as there are no cars in the village-only some donkeys which take you to the life of the past-as well as the liveliness of the village where you can find a great variety of nice taverns with gorgeous local dishes Amorgos is famous for, 2 cute bars and 2 mini markets. The visitors have an easy access to the nearest beach just 2 klm from the hilly village.
This is definitely an out-of-the-way accommodation, but that's exactly what appealed to us about it. It requires a fairly steep drive up to the quaint village of Tholaria, and then a fairly steep walk up (via stairs, passing restaurants and a beautiful chapel along the way) from the parking area to the room. Personally I'm in great shape and didn't mind the trek one bit. We stayed in the Mouros apartment, which was spotless and comfortable. No complaints about the bed. Storage space was plentiful, and the kitchen had everything we needed. And of course, the view from the balcony was truly a knockout. Only downsides to the Mouros: we didn't realize that the balcony is not private. There's another suite adjacent to it, and their balcony directly overlooks the Mouros. So when people were on that balcony, we could all see each other. As well, we never used the advertised outdoor shower because it had furniture sitting directly beneath it. But those are MINOR complaints because the regular shower (inside) was hot with good pressure. And while we enjoyed our balcony, we spent most of our time exploring the island. Since the balcony doesn't have a view of the sunset, we also made a point of watching the sunset from elsewhere (Embassa Bar in Aegiali, or Kamari Taverna in Ano Potamos, etc). Eva was truly a delight. As others mentioned, she left little treats in our room every day and she provided helpful information about where to go and where to eat. Beach towels were also available upon request. Upon check-in, Eva drove us and our suitcases as far upwards from the parking area as we could go, and then helped us carry the bags (when wheeling wasn't possible) the rest of the way. It was a sweat-inducing exercise but not a huge deal. Upon checkout we had the option of using a donkey for 10 euro per bag (or something) but we decided to just carry/wheel the suitcases back to Eva's car ourselves. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Plori and would recommend it to other adventurous types like ourselves.

We were keen to be in a quiet location and by the time we booked, this looked to be the best option available for four of us (2 couples), within our budget with the possibility of being able to cook for ourselves. The location was very nice and quiet, with a fabulous breezy balcony, within 10 minutes walk of the harbour and some good restaurants. It was very clean, but we felt it needed a bit of updating for the price. Firstly, the apartment had too much furniture in it, which became very cramped. The enormous terrace at the front had in contrast, little furniture, and the balcony off one of the bedrooms, none at all. It needed a table and a couple of chairs at least. After we'd carried a table and a couple of chairs through onto this balcony, the terrace then looked quite bare. A huge bar dominated the living room, in the kitchen area, but which had no use as it was too high to use as a bar, or worktop, and had no storage, while the kitchen area had a sink with a tiny drainage rack (good for a couple of cups) squashed next to a kettle and an electric ring for coffee. You could not really cook anything there, but there was a huge dining table and 6 chairs plus a day bed. We had to ask for glasses as there weren't enough for all of us, nor bowls but about 20 large plates. One bedroom had air-con and the other just a fan, which I usually prefer, but this was very noisy and I had trouble sleeping. You couldn't open the windows as there was no way to keep the window from slamming shut. We ended up sleeping with the aircon on in the living room and our bedroom door wide open all night to keep cool. Not ideal for privacy. The bathrooms were really clean, but it is only a hand held shower, not attached to the wall, so you risk wetting the entire room unless you are really careful holding it on one hand and washing with the other. Soggy toilet paper is not nice. It could be much nicer if a couple of things were tweaked and updated. Amorgos was really interesting - we went to visit the Monastery, which was wonderful and we loved the gentleness of the harbour on the opposite side to the port, with pretty restaurants around the water. Cannot remember the name but there is a fabulous fish restaurant with tables right on the water's edge that sold Sea Anemone pasta as a special (I didn't try it but apparently it was very good). We went twice the food was so fresh and tasty. Forget the beaches though, they are disappointing compared to elsewhere in Greece.

The POLITIMI'S STUDIOS consists of seven apartments, two and three people, three on the ground floor and four on the floor. All rooms are decorated and furnished to the island model and the combination of iron with wood furniture and marble you travel back in time pleasantly.
Maria, the owner was very welcoming and friendly. She gave us great advices on how to see more and enjoy more of Khora and Amargos. The rooms and everything around were super clean. It felt like visiting a family. Highly recommend.
