Today the walls of the Ming dynasty and the Tang palace walls hint at the Xi’an’s glorious past. Stare in awe at the Terracotta Army, 7,000 terracotta statues of Qin Bingmayong Bowuguan warriors and soldiers. Dating from 210 BCE, they were discovered in 1974 and are still being excavated. Don't miss the Shaanxi History Museum or a chance to heat up at former imperial bathing spot, Huaqing Hot Springs.

Everyone will meet at the lobby of Tang Dynasty Palace by 7:00pm for you to get a ticket with your name. Enjoy the Splendid Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show with fabulous music and dancing of Tang Dynasty, China's golden age. The show is also a different way for you to get to know the historical culture of ancient Xian city. What is great about this excursion is that it combines two great elements in one tour - an entertaining show and dumpling banquet that indulge all your senses. The dumpling banquet comes with approx. 18 varieties of dumplings including pork, chicken, mushroom and duck with leeks, carrots, lotus roots and more. The dumpling banquet starts around 7:00pm and after dinner you will enjoy the Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show. The show ends about 9:40pm and the tour ends at the Tang Dynasty Palace.
Ok so the dinner wasn’t the best I’ve eaten but it was cheap and the show was marvellous. The musical interludes were interesting partly because the instruments were not known to us but the costumed dances were a visual feast. The announcers presented in English as well as mandarin so you had an idea what you were looking at. The Red and White Blossoms dance was my favourite, absolutely beautiful! One drink came as part of the meal deal but extra ones were cheap in my opinion. Show was a brisk one hour and ten minutes so time to go on somewhere else should you wish to.

We had a fascinating dumpling dinner at the Shaanxi Sunshine Theater in Xian. With a seemingly endless variety of dumplings offered for our tasting, the meal would have been entertainment by itself. However, the accompanying dance performance of many traditional and local custom dances was unsurpassable. It was both very interesting, and beautiful - and like nothing Iwe had ever seen before. DEfinitaly, we would not have wanted to miss this dinner show.
