During the Civil War, Knoxville's Mabry-Hazen House served as headquarters for both the Confederate and Union armies. Today you can visit the house and other historic homes in this eastern Tennessee city. Among Knoxville's other attractions are museums, a zoo and World's Fair Park, site of the 1982 World's Fair. University of Tennessee sports draw lots of fans, as does the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame. To see Knoxville from the water, take a leisurely riverboat ride down the Tennessee River.

Usually well adapted dramas and musicals with top talent and great staging. Acoustics are good and seating comfortable. Just saw hamlet and the actor playing prince hamlet was brilliant. Enjoy!

Flying Anvil Theatre is a professional non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization, presenting explosive theatre in west Knoxville, TN.
I have been to multiple productions at the Flying Anvil Theatre and every one of them has been excellent. Plays presented in an intimate setting are a totally different experience than seeing something at a large venue. The acting is consistently outstanding and the proximity to the stage really enables one to be drown into the story. This theater is in the back of a shopping center with easy parking on-site. Tickets can be purchased on-line. There have been nights that are sell-outs, so purchasing tickets ahead will ensure you have a seat. Soft drinks are sold and wine is available by donation.
