Small but perfectly formed ( 86 seat ) Theatre with thrust stage layout. This well equiped and intimate theatre provides 5 plays per season each for 9 performances. The society aims to provide a wide range of drama to appeal to most theatre goers. Theatre club membership ( E mail if you wish to be added to our waiting list ) entitles participants to one seat for each play and priority booking for this seat plus one paying guest. Tickets are on open sale for the week proceeding each production. A member of the Greater Manchester Drama Federation. We have our own small bar area and encourage new members to become involved in all aspects of staging a play from acting, directing, set construction, lighting, properties, costume to ticketing and selling interval drinks.
We thoroughly enjoyed the Agatha Christie play. An excellent production with an excellent cast. All in the play so good but Pat Hill you were brilliant.

Watched Hobsons choice last night at the theatre Royal, absolutely brilliant, so comical and well acted, Will Mossop was particularly excellent, although everybody made it a fantastic production.

Chads Theatre was founded just after the First World War as Cheadle Hulme Amateur Dramatics Society, performing in different venues in the Cheadle Hulme area. In October 1959 the members opened their own premises and have continued to develop the Theatre ever since, providing a first class venue for its members and patrons. In 1982 the name officially changed to Chads Theatre Company. Chads Theatre has a wardrobe department with costumes available for hire to other theatres and to also the general public. There is space available to hire for meetings, parties & much more. Chads Theatre has a fully licensed bar.
We visit this theatre on a relatively regular basis. The quality of the performances are usually above average and the venue is a reasonable size with comfortable seating, pleasant bar area and free parking a few yards away.

As a regular annual attendee to the Carver for the January Pantomime I just wanted to ensure that there was a current review on Trip Advisor. The Carver is a really splendid local facility, small and compact with comfortable seats and a good sound system. Just idea for creating an excellent atmosphere for the Panto. I'm fairly sure it was completely sold out this year, so get in early with your ticket requests for next year. As for the latest production The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. I feel it was the best yet, even if I was singled out by Dame Betty (yes, I am THAT 'Jeffrey' from the first night). Anyway, as a grandparent to one of your stars of the show it's very moving to have watched, previously nervous children, mature into confident young actors and actresses, over just a very short period. So the dedication of the Production team and all the help behind the scenes really shines through. It was obvious that the cast were loving the performance throughout and it's fair to say that 100% of the audience thoroughly enjoyed the show too. A just reward for all the long hours of very hard work and rehearsals, and good to see a few more boys involved this year. Very well done to all of the team and cast and wishing you all well on the last night. Looking forward to the next production!

Hope Mill Theatre is situated in the Grade II listed Hope Mill – a former cotton mill, close to the city of Manchester. This 5 storey mill is home to a number of creative’s studios and now home to Hope Mill Theatre, an in house producing and receiving venue and events space. The Engine Room Cafe and Bar is open during the day in the week and serves delicious sandwiches and hot drinks.
My first visit to Hope Mill and wow what a fabulous experience from our greeting to leaving we received the best. A welcoming hello at the door, friendly box office staff, efficient seating procedure and an amazing production. The cast and musicians of Mame were outstanding and the show had definitely didn’t disappoint. Would I go back? In a heartbeat! Well done Hope Mill

Established in 1948, Farnworth Little Theatre is an amateur theatre group situated just outside Bolton. Our first full length play 'Night Must Fall', was presented in 1949, and since then we have offered a continuous programme of up to five full length productions a year. We are totally self-supporting, financing the running and upkeep of the theatre through box office takings, membership fees, charitable donations and regular fund-raising events. The theatre is run by volunteers and therefore offers many opportunities for people of all ages to get involved in a range of activities, from acting to wardrobe, lighting and sound to publicity and set-building.
After living in the area and never visiting, we recently booked a couple of plays - Dick Barton - brilliant and funny and Albert Nobbs - very funny and very moving - the audience was in tears both ways. I wish we had visited much sooner. An intimate theatre with a bar, or tea and coffee and biscuits in the interval, very cute! The only thing I would say is take something warm to wear. Highly recommended for young and more mature visitors.
