You've probably heard that Guinness tastes better in Dublin (fresh from the factory), but what you may not know is that Dublin is a perfect destination for the whole family. No, we're not suggesting you let the kiddies drink a pint. Instead, take them to the Dublin Zoo, to feed the ducks in Stephen's Green or on a picnic in Phoenix Park. Scholars enjoy walking in the literary footsteps of such writers as Yeats and Joyce, while discerning shoppers have their pick of designer boutiques.

Experience an enchanting evening of Irish folklore, storytelling and music while enjoying a candlelit dinner in O'Shea's of Talbot Street, traditional Irish pub. Sit back, relax and let our renowned storytellers take you into a world of the imagination with wonderful insights and magical tales of Irish life in times past.
The Food, Folklore, and Fairies evening at O'Shea pub in Dublin is a fantastic night out. Everything went well, the food was great and the evening ran to time with such precision. The storytelling was delivered well by Johnny Daly who is an amazing storyteller who sticks to the facts and you leave feeling you know a bit more about Ireland, it's history, people and it's ways. The musicians who entertain you while you are eating your main course were excellent. This is a lovely way for those people who have Irish connections to get to know their heritage a bit more and for those who don't know much about Ireland to learn in a entertaining way. You are all sat together at long tables and you get to know the people around you which is so lovely in a world where people don't stop to chat that much anymore. If you are in Dublin and looking for a night out that is good value for money and entertaining (as well as educational) then this is the one for you.

The Irish Dance Party is one of Dublin’s best loved experiences where you get to see and hear top class live Irish music and dancing by award winning performers. Not only that, but true to the Irish spirit, everybody gets to give the dancing a go themselves. It is a 2 hour event. Seated at your own reserved table between dances, there is ample time to sit back and enjoy the entertainment with a beverage of your choice. Your charismatic and talented Irish music and dance entertainers will see to it that there is never a dull moment. It doesn't get any more Irish than that!

Dublin's newest oldest theatre. Enjoys contemporary takes on the classic and the excitement of the emerging artist. Smock Alley was the first Theatre Royal built in Dublin. John Ogilby opened it in 1662 as part of the Restoration of the British monarchy and King Charles II in 1660, along with the London’s Drury Lane (1662) and the Lincoln’s Inn Fields (1661). It was the first custom-built theatre in the city and still remains in substantially the same form, making it one of the most important sites in European theatre history. For more than a century, Smock Alley put Irish theatre on the European map, acting as the very core of an Ireland striving to find its own voice. If we are to ask historically what makes theatre such an important part of culture today, we would need to go back more than two centuries before the founding of The Abbey Theatre, to the Smock Alley Theatre of the 17th century.
Irelands oldest theatre is still putting on fantastic productions. Tickets are always good value and there is a really eclectic number of performances. Staff are some of the friendliest I've ever encountered.

"The Gate Theatre was founded in 1928 by Hilton Edwards and Micheál MacLiammóir. From it's very beginnings, the Gate offered Dublin audiences a way into the worlds of European and American theatre, as well as classics from the modern and Irish repertoire. A space rich with history, it was at the Gate that Orson Welles, James Mason, Geraldine Fitzgerald and Michael Gambon began their prodigious acting careers, and it has served as an incubator of ground-breaking creative talent for almost 90 years now. Award-winning director Selina Cartmell has served as Artistic Director of the Gate since April 2017. Her first season “The Outsider” continues into the second half of 2018 with shows including; Stephen Sondheim’s dark and thrilling musical ASSASSINS, the world premiere of Roddy Doyle’s The Snapper, Shakespeare’s Hamlet featuring Oscar-nominated actress Ruth Negga in a production directed by Yaël Farber, and a festive return for our acclaimed The Great Gatsby."
I highly recommend this theatre. I could see there a play entitled A Christmas Carrol. The play displayed realistic sets and the beautiful costumes from the 19th century. The actors played with tuneful bells at the beginning and at the final moments of the performance, which was magnificent and everyone could feel the atmosphere of Christmas. The acting was very good. This is a play conveying a universal truth and everyone should see it. The stage was close to the public, so the actors had the possibility to interact with the audience. It was an unforgettable experience.
