Elaborate French Renaissance theater dating back to 1926.
Unveiled in 1926, it underwent a major renovation beginning in the late 1980s. Thus it is the best preserved movie theatre on Broadway. With gorgeous Beaux Arts styling it makes for a striking picture, especially if viewed from across the street. It now hosts concerts, movie premiers and is also a popular setting for film and video scenes.

Home of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, this concert hall is designed to be one of the most acoustically sophisticated in the world.
LA Phil under Gustavo Dudamel is one of the greatest orchestras of the world and Disney Hall is an ideal place for their magical performances.

This was a very fun experience. Seeing a movie and having it soundtracked with a live orchestra is amazing. The venue for this particular presentation was at the Theatre at the Ace Hotel in DTLA. Valet parking is offered and the fact that it is part of a hotel doesn't hurt either.

We attended a concert, not on our subscription packages SU1 and SU3, but this looked very interesting to us. I purchased tickets and we were on our way to Walt Disney Hall on a Sunday after church services. Lately traffic has been good to us, taking about an hour and five minutes from Corona Del Mar. Today’s concert was without an intermission or without a break to change musicians. A continuous one hour and fifteen minutes, with music playing while stage personnel moved seating around in a darkened hall. Actors and singers, chorus and soloists, moved off and on. Above in the Terraces on either side, French Horns and Trombones played. The sets were moved by actors on the stage. At one point a shoe that had been taken off, come into the audience from the stage. This concert was called “The Weimar Republic : Germany 1918 - 1933 Weimar Nightfall”. Four pieces from four composers, in chronological order. One that I will remember for ever. Esa - Pekka Salonen is a Genius.

This is a great little theater putting on good quality shows. I saw a show (Sugar Plum Fairy) here on my last night in town, and it was one of the highlights of my visit to Downtown LA. The staff and actors were are very nice, and professional. The theater is a smaller space, in an old church, so all the seats are good. I was able to use the metro system when travelling there, although it also looked like there might be parking nearby.
