Every year thousands of hipsters, groupies, and die-hard fans flock to Austin for the annual South by Southwest festival, which has catapulted the Texas city up the must-visit charts for many travelers. The sandstone Capitol building is symbolic of the Lone Star State’s "bigger is better" mentality, featuring a gorgeous whispering gallery rotunda and 22 acres of grounds. Cool off with a dip in Barton Springs, a huge natural limestone pool that’s fed by underground sources.

The venue is nice, not too large. Seats are comfortable, we had no problem parking. I will return again!

We were in town to visit our son and decided if we're in Austin we have to go to ACL. So we bought tickets for Ozomatli & Los Lobos. Took the tour the morning of the concert, partially to get the lay of the land when it wasn't crowded. Concert was great to learn the history of ACL and the theater and all the unique features that were built into it. Lots of free swag at the concert and a great show.

Magic’s is AMAZING! Excellent museum and outstanding show. We went for a “close up show,” for date night, and will be taking our family back for one of the big shows soon. John and his wife are great. Highly recommended!

From the moment you step out of the elevator that leads to our basement jazz lounge, you’ll be transported into a timeless atmosphere with the sounds of live jazz emanating throughout the room from our center stage with a painting from renowned artist Eric Waugh behind our bar. While live jazz music is the focal point of our lounge, with our upscale service and drinks, there's something for everyo
Friends surprised us with tickets to this club which we had never heard of. Living in Bluffton, we often visit "The Jazz Corner" on Hilton Head, one of the country's best venues for jazz content and sound. Having said that Parker's is every bit as good...with way better chairs. The room at Parkers is acoustically perfect for the music. All of the seats face the stage and the chairs are extremely comfortable. We sat through 2 sets and were totally relaxed. No fidgeting around to stay comfortable. The performers were superb and the club's owner (Kris Kimura) a very friendly, talkative and talented musician. They have a full bar with reasonably priced beverages and a very limited "snack" menu. Perfectly located in downtown Austin just below the Capitol Grille on 4th Street. Can't wait to visit again next time we are in Austin.

Swinging rock 'n' roll bar recalling the music and the attitude of the 1950s.
This is a great place to listen to local music. If you are lucky enough to catch James McMurtry when he is in town to play a midnight show during the week, I highly suggest a visit. The beverages are cold and the service is friendly. The acoustics are good and comfortable area.

Luxurious theater dating back to 1915 now hosts Broadway shows.
I caught a children's show while on a business trip to Austin. The production was delightful, well representing the Paramount education department's dedication to quality. The theater itself was beautiful and clean, the ushers well trained and helpful. While this is a smaller theatre, the view from the back of the house was quite good. Highly recommend!

Established in 1975 by the late Clifford Antone, Antone's is an iconic blues and R&B venue located in downtown Austin. Over the past 40 years, Antone's has brought Austin a variety of blues and R&B musicians from across the country including greats like B.B. King, Muddy Waters, Jimmy Reed, and Buddy Guy, as well as help develop local talent including Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimmie Vaughn, Bob Schneider, Gary Clark Jr. and countless others. In 2015, the historic brand was restored and a new team brought the iconic venue back to the downtown Austin landscape with a renewed focus on once again making Antone's the "Home of the Blues."
What a great relaxed atmosphere where you can enjoy live music and freindly people. highly recommend Betty Harris to anyone interested in real music
