The combination of a bookstore and café is not played out too much. There IS a bookstore on the ground floor with the café above, but the café dominates, with three+ rooms for convivial meetings and elegant menu items. One of the rooms is a winter garden with a glass ceiling, through which all must enter, so to some extent arrival is one of the café's classiest events. Well-dressed clientele meet mostly for fun and catching up. Breakfast works for those who live, work, or are visiting in the area. It's one quiet block off Kufürstendamm, the chic shopping avenue of Berlin, next to the Käthe Kollwitz Museum. If you're visiting Berlin and staying in the area, it's a great way to start your day.

Oslo kaffebar opened June 13th 2012. We work hard to make great coffee and have a good time. We focus on quality. We love music and art, so we have concerts and sell 2nd hand vinyl. We also sometimes do other small events and we do one art exhibition per month. Currently, we have coffees from Berliner roasteries Bonanza and The Barn, Tim Wendelboe and Supreme Roastworks from Oslo, Norway, and Koppi from Helsingborg, Sweden. We bake up some really nice croissants and pan au chocolates every morning and during the day, and we get desserts delivered from our friends at FunkYou. The desserts are often gluten free, raw and/or vegan (but not always, so ask:-) Opening hours: Mon-Fri 08-18 Sat 10-18 Sun 10-17
Amazing good place! Ok first of all I am a coffee nerd. It means I have learn from the farm to the packaging. That includes the sensory profil. Then I can say: This place has really really good coffee. And the carrot cake... it is simply delicious! Although I have seen other comments about the slow service, here a quick tip. You order at the counter when you arrive. And you get a table. I have been there at least 10 times. With friends ( group of 4 or 5), with my partner and by myself just with my book or laptop. Always it’s an amazing place to work or hang out. It looks and it’s kinda hipster style. But it is really charming and the environment is beautiful. I highly recommend this place. PS. They always have a little exhibition of some artists on the walls. Plus a vynil collection. And on weekend the use of the laptop is just in the main table. PS2. There are vegan and vegetarian options on the sandwiches and the cakes.

We founded Frollein as a fun project while studying - who wouldn't want to own a place to have a beer to properly prepare for an exam? Thanks to our customers (and us not drinking ALL of the stock) we are going into our 6th year now! Long may it continue. Thank you!
