Home to two of America's most prestigious universities, Cambridge exudes a certain intellectual quirkiness. A mix of historical haunts, student hang-outs, alternative art and culture venues, vintage clothing shops, bookstores and ethnic restaurants, the city is, well, really cool. Although it is located just across the Charles River from Boston, Cambridge has a distinct vibe that is noticeable immediately. Start at Harvard Square, a hub of activity and mishmash of trendy stores, outdoor cafes and colorful local characters. Pick up a walking tour map at the visitors information booth in the center of the Square. The route will take you past many important landmarks including the Mount Auburn Cemetery, Tory Row and the Longfellow National Historic Site. Harvard University offers student-led tours through the illustrious buildings and monuments of its sprawling campus. Art and architecture buffs should meander around the M.I.T campus, which includes outdoor sculptures by masters such as Picasso and 20th-century buildings designed by modern greats like Eero Saarinen and I. M. Pei. Along the way, browse through bookstores, stop to watch street performers and grab a coffee at an outdoor café to take in all this captivating city has to offer.

Harvard Bartending Course and Services has offered mixology courses in the greater Boston area for over 50 years. Our first course, offered in 1964, was planned as a platform for helping Harvard students find jobs as bartenders. Harvard Bartending now helps members of the Boston and Cambridge communities train to be bartenders, and teaches curious amateur mixologists. We offer 3 premiere bartending courses. The first is a TIPS Certification course which emphasizes safe serving and certifies participants to serve alcohol in Massachusetts. The second, our historic ‘Art of Mixology’ course, will prepare you to understand the intuition behind why flavors work well together, all while mixing popular drinks. Finally, our Deluxe course combines our TIPS and Art of Mixology courses. In one day, you will become a master mixologist, prepared to work in the industry or impress your friends and family.

Three-floored community with a variety of dance classes. Came here on a Saturday for an impromptu Samba dance class at 1:30pm. It’s just one stop away on the red line from Harvard, so it’s a convenient option for students. It’s $15 for the samba class, but they’ll take cash and credit card. There’s a Santander right across the street if you need an ATM, since some of the classes are cash only. Note for Bank of America cardholders, there is a $3 ATM fee. There is a gender neutral bathroom available The 1:30-3pm Samba class was super fun. It was my first time doing Samba, but the teacher was super energetic and there are plenty of other beginners so you don’t have to feel awkward. You can put your stuff on the right hand side along the wall, and there’s plenty of mirror space so you can watch yourself shake it. There were people of all ages and it was good vibes all around. It started with a warm up and then payment, and then the actual Samba class. There was even a live band that played while we danced. At the end, there was a dance circle and everyone left sweaty but happy. The dance center overall is a cool spot and you can try out a number of different dance styles and classes no matter what age you are. I noticed on the bulletin board they have kid classes as well.

I teach travelers anything they wish in the kitchen and or host multiple course dinner parties for up to 12 people. As a fine dining chef I worked at 5 diamond rated hotels, and 3 michelin star restaurants. I use this and my experience tutoring college students to teach people all about bread, food, and desserts. I also provide guests with fine dining level 3-12 course meals.
