Bosnia and Herzegovina's fascinating capital Sarajevo nestles among dramatic peaks, a bustling and welcoming city. War took its toll, with the 1992-1996 siege hitting hard. But the lively, diverse, museum-rich city has been almost entirely reconstructed. Don't miss Bijambare caves, set in thick forests and amid lakes to the north of the city, or Bosna Springs, from which the country takes its name. Site of 1984's Winter Olympics, Sarajevo offers spectacular skiing on Mount Bjelasnica Jahorina.

We had a wintery adventure for our anniversary in April and Kenan kept us safe for the whole 10 hours trek. He knows lots and lots about the wilderness and history of the Dinaric Alps and supplied us with delicious treats along the way! It was quite the challenge with all the snow, but absolutely worth it.

Can You imagine 4 years of siege? Four long years without elementary supplies, four years under the bombs, four years with no sun in the sky? Visiting the main war points will tell You the story by themselves – words will not be needed. Sarajevo was under the occupation for very long time, and marks are still visible all around the town. We try to keep it as a monument and great reminder of what shell never happen again! Sarajevo was occupied by each side of the city during the siege and the area was completely blocked. Since there was no way to reach free territory and in order to provide elementary existence supplies, some kind of solution had to be provided. That is exactly what happened! We warmly suggest to take this tour on in order to consciously experience the Bosnian capital, to understand its distinctive architecture along with its welcoming people. Ms Dzenana guided us through the memories of Sarajevo in a two-days-trip that we will remember forever...There's nothing better than studying a heart-breaking past while looking at the beautiful contradictions of this small cosy city. We appreciated Dzenana' selection of highlights, the wise alternance of didactical moments and relax at cafes, her enthusiast attitude and her accuracy.

We went up to Trebević in April when it was snowing a lot and it was absolutely magical! Our guide Merjem spoke perfect English (but they also speak very good German in this company) and walked with us through the deep snow and told us everything we wanted to know about the history of the place and Bosnian life in general. We got some hot drinks and decided to stay behind on the mountain after the tour ended, because it was so beautiful! It was flexible, personal and easy!
