Kamakura is a must-visit town for any foreign visitor coming to Japan and it can be easily reached from Tokyo on a 60-mn train journey. Very convenient especially if you are JR Pass holder. We started the journey with our guide, who was waiting for us @the lobby of our hotel and kindly guided us through the bustling morning Japanese metro system. Visiting Kamakura was like going through different emotions and living exceptional experiences depending on the sites visited. The Hase-Dera temple, Kotokuin area, the Tsurugaoka Hachimangu temple and the Kamakura street market (where original flavoured peanuts were sold like those strawberries, mulberries, okonomyaki, wasabi, takoyaki flavours) were amazing venues that have their own spirit and atmosphere and imprint unforgettable memories on the visitors. Our guide helped us to know more about the religious, political and social history of Kamakura. We hope to be back again in the fulture to explore more the seaside and spend one day @Kamakura. Thank you so much to our guide who was very kind and helpful (she guided us through the Toranomon Hills metro station after the end of our tour) and professional. Best wishes to her.

There's no building like the Nakagin Capsule Tower in the whole world, and sadly it's not clear how long is going to last. After years of admiring the building from the outside, I decided to discover the inside. I was so lucky that my guide Yuka was available for a visit on December 31st, it was a fantastic way for me to finish the strange year 2020. The history of the building is just fascinating, and listening to it while you inside make you understand a lot about the history of Tokyo and Japan itself. Architecturally and aesthetically, the building is just astonishing, so unique. I totally recommend the experience ... before it's too late. I keep my fingers crossed and hope that this magnificent piece of architecture gets the recognition it deserves because I truly believe Tokyo wouldn't be the same without it.

You are in for a local experience - a day to explore the diversity of Tokyo, from high tech to tradition, the contrast of the futuristic aspect to old school life all on this private car service with your private licensed guide. We had a wonderful day with Takashi as our guide. We visited Arakura Sengen Park and Shrine, 4th Station, Wind and Ice Caves, Mt Fuji Panoramic Ropeway and Oishi Park. We were very lucky and got to see Mt. Fuji all day. Takashi was very knowledgeable about all sites and the history of Japan and we would highly recommend this tour.

We absolutely loved our tour with our guide Miki and our two 12 & 14 year old kids had a ball. All credit to Akira for helping us to organise a last minute tour on a Saturday which was the last day we had in Tokyo. Miki adjusted the tour to suit our timeframe and lead us through so many great spots on this tour. We had spent 5 days in Tokyo on the Shinjuku side and really wanted to see some older, local spots before we left. This tour did not disappoint! We would recommend this experience to everyone!

... what more can you ask for? We’ll keep the secrets of where we were taken, and what we ate, because it’s best that you discover this for yourself. Sid will guide you through some of the best food you’ll eat in Tokyo, with context and historical insights that make it all fit together perfectly. The tour itself was impeccably organised, and Sid was extremely welcoming and easy to get on with. The food was amazing - some things we’ve heard of but never tried, and others that were totally new and surprising to us. You’ll leave full and very happy.

We chose Tokyo Bleisure Trip for a private tour of the live tuna auction at Toyosu Market followed by a food walk of the old Tsukiji Market. Takashi was a warm, friendly and informative guide. From timely prior communication to sharing restaurant/sightseeing recommendations afterwards, it was a pleasure interacting with him from start to finish. Takashi met us at our hotel and we promptly started our tour at 5 AM. We first headed to the new wholesale fish market, Toyosu Market, and viewed the auction from the upper observation deck. Takashi patiently explained the entire process and shared some interesting facts and figures about the auction. Being Christmas eve, we were lucky to witness the auction on one of the busiest days of the year, where thousands of tuna were up for sale. This was followed by an omasake sushi breakfast at the famous Daiwa restaurant. We ended the tour with a food walk of the old Tsukiji fish market, where we savoured local street snacks like daifuku, taiyaki, karage and tamogoyaki. Takashi even helped us purchase local spices and Japanese pottery. A great experience overall and we would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Tokyo! Tip: Plan at least one month in advance if you would like to view the auction from the lower observation deck. Make sure to reach on time, or the auction will get over within half an hour on the days with less catch.
