We booked a car with driver, for a trip to Kiev. A long trip, road not always the best, tough winter. We had a lot of worries and concerns, especially considering it was a new country for us. But from the very first contact, we were received with professionalism and care, helped in every single bureaucratic step, even the ones that would normally not be the agency's problem. We were guided through lab test for the custom, helped with insurance and all the information we needed to travel safely. When it came to the driver, we couldn't hope for better: a true gentleman, excellent driver, impeccable professional, who represented us with the custom authorities, provided information, supported us in our moments of tiredness, always ready to help. It is very rare to have professionalism and compassion combined together, yet this man, Mr. Paul Rotaru, is a perfect example. We felt safe and cared for. Professionalism at the highest level. Thank you.

A must do. I did the evening tour with tasting. Tour of the expansive underground cellars which included salt displays and visiting the tasting rooms. You ride through the cellars on a motorized trolley which takes you to several of the major cellars. It is basically an entire city with street names underground. If you can, do a tasting tour as they do really formal seating with delicious samples. There is a video at the beginning in their bar/theater which explains the history & process. The tour is done by Crickova staff not your tour guide, and you may select the language. There is a superb gift shop.

We arrived thursday night and Alexandru was able to accomodate our request for a weekend 2 day tour of Moldova. It was still winter time and even though some of the spots we weren’t able to access, he was able to show us the beauty of Moldova monasteries and its wine culture. We went around on a private car with driver. Alexandru’s command of english is very good and he was able to answer our questions regarding Moldova. We highly recommend him to all english speaking travelers.

I was on a tour to Milestii Mici and I found that it is quite easy on my own (unless you actually visit the winery, where you are assigned a guide). The tour is very fast and simple, because I wanted to find out more and see the actual process of wine production (how to harvest, where to store, how to turn into wine, how to store, how to bottle in bottles). at the outlet is a store where you can find good wines at low prices ...

On driving just at a distance of 30 km from Chisinau, You will get an excellent opportunity to visit one of the oldest wine production in Moldova – the wine cellar " Milestii Mici ". The total length of underground streets reaches 200 km, and its depth varies between 40-85 meters. The constant temperature is in the range + 12-14 ° C and humidity - 85-95%. These conditions of basements ideally contribute to the conservation of the natural bouquet of wines. "Golden Collection" - the world largest collection of bottles with vine, as evidenced by the fact that there are stored the best valuable wines!
Inclusions: All activities, Professional guide, Hotel pickup and drop-off, Transport by air-conditioned minivan or car, 3 types of wine tasting
Exclusions: Souvenir photos (available to purchase), Complimentary bottles of wine
I loved this tour, however my friend loved it more. We'd really wanted to visit Transnistria and had seen some mixed messages about doing it on your own - you really need to speak Russian or Romanian when you get to the border if you go on your own by bus, so we decided to opt for a tour which also included a winery stop and booked this one through TripAdvisor. In the end, it was just the two of us in a car for the tour. Gheorge, our driver, was outside our hotel as planned and whisked us out of the city to Cricova. We got there before it opened, so had to wait a bit, but it meant we were on the first English language tour - I've written a separate review of Cricova. We were then driven back in to Chisinau and picked up our guide Anna, who was a lot more talkative. We drove to the border as Anna explained the history of Transnistria and answered all of our questions brilliantly. We beat the bus to the border crossing, which was good as it meant that we didn't have to wait - Anna arranged everything and Gheorge kept safe hold of our immigration cards which we needed to exit again. We then headed to Bender Fortress and had a local guide there, also called Anna, who showed us around - again I've reviewed this separately. We then headed into Tiraspol to lunch, which was in a traditional restaurant and had a selection of different dishes (all included in the price). Anna also showed us some Transnistrian money so that we could see what it looked like. We were then driven a bit further into Tiraspol and Anna took us on a walking tour around some of the different sights which was great. We were picked up at the Lenin Statue and then driven back to the border post (much quicker leaving) and then back to our hotel in Chisinau. Overall, Gheorge and Anna were both fantastic. One thing struck me at lunch as one of the other tour groups in the restaurant were using Google translate to communicate with their guide, but Anna's English was fantastic. If you want to visit Transnistria, I'd really recommend this tour as you get to the see the capital, as well as a visit to a really interesting winery.
