One of the most beautiful churches I have ever seen! This historic Catholic church is a true work of art. The enormous stained-glass windows compare favorable with any church any where. Located one block south of Main Street.

We did a self guided tour. The interior of the church is so beautiful it is indescribable. We will be back to do a guided tour to hear about the history of the church.

Precious We saw the Basilica from the Interstate and knew we needed to go. We have been in many holy places and this is close to the top. Beautiful and pious. The other people their were inspiring by their faith. The Most Holy Place in the Valley!

Gateway continues to grow and continues to reach the un-churched as well as those who have grown up in the church but who are looking for deeper Bible teaching and amazing worship music. everything is done with EXCELLENCE! However, it can be easy to get lost in such a huge church.

When you walk into this church, it's hard to believe you're in Bryan, Tx. It's really beautiful and worth visiting for sure.

A chamber of Commerce guide from Schulenburg will have the keys to unlock the sanctuary. The interior of this painted church is a must see! Stained glass, the altar, altar pieces left and right of the altar, so beautiful. Artisans rarely exist today that can produce this quality of art and detail. The parish house behind the church is actually older. Walk back to see, enjoy an old barn there too. The cemetery next to this church is worth a walk through too. Enjoy!

On our way to visit the Spoetzl Brewery, we made time to see the SS Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church. What a hidden treasure of a sight!! As we drove in the parking lot, 2 workers were by the back door taking care of their day. We were going to ask them permission to go in, but I figured we try the doors first. To our surprise, the doors were unlocked. We walked in and were taken away by the beauty of the architecture, the stained glass windows, and the dome alter. This beautiful church reminded me of the ones in and around Panna Maria. Don’t pass up this church whenever you’re near Shiner, Texas
