An interesting small church from the 17th century, in which all the frescoes by an unknown master are preserved. Unfortunately, it was closed during my visit.

An interesting small church from the 10th century, in which there is a part of a preserved icon of St. Marina. Remains of an ancient Byzantine basilica have been found under the church

We had all the time in the world to walk around and explore the ruins of the church of St Sophia, taking our pictures and enjoying the feel of the old architecture of this magical building from the 5th century. Just as we were finished and sat down for a cup of morning coffee the busses with tourists arrived, but they didn't stay long. I'm guessing their guided tour had them scheduled for another site within just a short period of time. Our luck. We could just sit there, listening to the morning sounds as the old town of Nessebar awoke.
