The original chruch was built in 1679 but was burned by the British in 1777 along with what was the village. General George Clinton and roughly 70 Revolutionary War soldiers were buried in the grave yard on the church property. The church that is here now, was built in 1852 in Renaissance Revival style. Well worth a stop if you are into history!

This church is a beautiful example of Eastern European architecture. Visitors are amazed at these wooden structures (Church and Bell Tower).Ukrainians in the community call it "Little Ukraine" because it reminded them of their homeland. Started/1961, finished/1967.This Ukrainian Church & Bell Tower dominates the countryside like in the Carpathian Mountain region of Ukraine.
