The concierge at Pullman recommended this restaurant. It's the first building on Wu Ling Road at the intersection with Gao Yun Road. We ordered 4 dishes and it costs about RMB 200 including rice and tea. We ordered a duck, a pot of vermicelli, veggies, deep-fried crisps. All the dishes are delicious. There are pictures on the menu so it makes ordering easier.Head up to the second floor where it's air-conditioned.Bon appetite!
This restaurant was recommended to us by the local friends. The building was very Chinese architecture theme, with a large statue of General Quan Yun Chang stood guard at the front door. The dishes appears to be Tu Chia ( local ethic people) cuisine, very spicy and hot. The service is limited to having the food brought to the table, nothing else. The waitresses appears to be wide eyes and not knowing what to do. After all, Zhangjiajie is very country, not an environment to train the art of waiting on tables. The menu is extensive but beverages were limited to rice wines and beer. The food came fairly quickly. The ambiance is kind of blah. We ate, and left. not much reason for us to linger. The food is fairly good by local standards. More of a home cooking style. The price is very reasonable, about half of what we pay at the hotel with twice the dishes. When you are in Zhangjiajie, I believe this may be one of the best choices.
It's the local food in Zhangjiajie city, tastes strange at first, but later you'll used to it.We ordered many other local food in this restaurant, tastes good, but spicy

Always love stopping in these family owned Muslim Noodle shops. Small place and not like Langzhou Noodle houses.

What to do and see in Zhangjiajie, China: The Best Places and Tips

Good food and relatively nice ambience. Seems to be the most popular restaurant around Wulingyuan and we could see why. Got the earthen eggs (which is just scrambled eggs cooked over stones - cool concept), the gyoza, some spicy beef and rice. Was SO good. A filling and satisfying meal for moderate pricing in ZJJ. Iâm not really sure but this would be considered one of the pricier places around. Hunan cuisine tends to be spicy and really salty; I was surprised at the amount of salt some of the dishes in the area had.
